Children of Blood and Bone is legendary ALSO PLEASE READ THE AUTHORS NOTE it's so important and I loved hearing her reason for writing the novel. And yes it definitely reads like a movie and before it even came out not only did she finish her manuscript of the sequel for CBB but she was offered a 7 figure movie deal. Yassssss for the black girl magic ❤️👑

Congrats on completing seven books (because I have no doubt you did)! I also had to resort to graphic novels, but I wasn't aiming to do seven books to begin with so it was like a bonus win for me. If you finish and enjoy Between the Lines, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Jodi Picoult's adult novels. She's one of my all-time favorite authors. The Pact, Change of Heart, and The Storyteller are my top three of hers (and I've read all of her twenty-two novels). Also just an FYI, her last name is pronounced "pee-koh."

MANCA JELŠNIK nah, but you are in the minority. Honestly it felt really generic to me. Its one of those fantasy books with a premise that youve read hundreds of times but the twist is, it has an african inspired backdrop.
