Stretch stretch stretch. Really. They don’t magically heal. And stretching after the hike miles is critical as well as before the day starts. Gentle long stretches. Ibuprofen. The mathematical analysis was fascinating and as usual….. huh?😮😂 I always found COWculus to be the most interesting. Maybe when you work out picking up your stakes, you can get some ice cream. A cow in an earthquake is called a milkshake. 🙈.

Ya stretching has helped I think.

-George Washington was involved in an important event in 1748 when he joined a survey party led by his neighbor George William Fairfax. The trip was Washington's formal initiation into the field and led him to pursue surveying as a profession. He was 16 years old at the time. -1748 was also a leap year. Random stuff. -Oh, Martha Jefferson (Thomas Jefferson's wife) was born in 1748.

Ooh, shin splints are no fun! I hope they heal up soon. Too bad about your tent stakes. Hope that you are able to get some! Also I hope you get the 1000 subscribers! Well, being a former math teacher, I thought this was significant: Leonhard Euler publishes "Introductio in analysin infinitorum", an introduction to pure analytical mathematics, in Berlin in 1748. My favorite mathematical formula is Euler's formula: e^(pi x i) = -1. That's what's in my profile pic.

Ah that's a great tidbit of history! That formula is super neat, it's cool to see how it's derived using sin and cos.

Yeah, the derivation is really interesting! The formula is cool because if you write it as e^(pi x i) +1 = 0, it includes five mathematical constants (0, 1, e, i, and pi) exactly once and uses addition, exponentiation, and multiplication exactly once as well. Very elegant!

How many miles does the AT run through Tennessee? And, is Georgia the next state? It's exciting that you're getting so close to the 100-day goal! 🙌😃(your idea for the mileage/year game is not stupid, it's actually a fun idea!)

After TN is N.C. then GA
@frankmularcikbeyondinvesting
@frankmularcikbeyondinvesting Ай бұрын
It's hard to say because after the first 75ish miles in TN the trail meanders along the Tennessee / North Carolina border so you go back and forth sometimes many times per day. But after TN is North Carolina then Georgia.

@@frankmularcikbeyondinvesting Yes. If interested we should talk sometime, lots of history. I reworked the section of the trail from low gap , route 421 to where you are camping tonight for my Eagle Scout project in 1972
