Maggie, I also having been following little Eli who is getting bigger. Tears flow, following and watching this little gentleman, but the spark behind these Awesome younger individuals is Mr. Riles and Family. Someone always has to take the Reins and Lead. This Man is truly inspired by our Lord and his Students abilities are endless. Drumming/ percussion and Martial arts go hand in hand in this neighborhood. Wish my own children benefitted from this Gift. The Gift that keeps giving. Thank you Mr. RILES and Atlanta Drum Academy for making a small part of this world, a more enjoyable place.

This is my favorite rudiment because it feels good when you tap after the flame. It almost has a seesaw effect to it. That tap pushes the opposite hand right back up into position very naturally.

Wow! My grandson just turned 5 he has been begging for a drum for ever over a year. The boy is going to get his drum! But I don’t want to get him a toy that will last 2 weeks. So I’m researching what type of practice pad to get him and real drum sticks. I think the practice of the drum will really help his focus and help with his attention issues. He tends to be all over the place unless it’s something he is really into, then he is laser focused !
