I took that directly from the jw website, am i misunderstanding something about the role the fsithful and discreet slave play to jehovas witnesses here when he says "thats not my department"? That article says jesus would provide that to the faithful and discreet slave at the proper time yet they have made countless claims of when armageddon was coming and even given specific dates that were incorrect, doest match up with an "all knowing god" to me. You seem to throw around the word apostate very loosely as well, i bet you probably dont even know what the real definition of that word is so let me clarify it for you, because probably like yourself, before i left the organization i thought an "apostate" was someone who left jehovas witnesses organization and then started spreading lies about them because thats what i was made to believe so i never looked at the other side so let me enlighten you with that first "Apostate: a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle." Which means that ANY person who leaves ANY RELIGION or renounces or denounces their faith is now an apostate, so by definition, everyone and anyone converted to jehovas witness from another religion is an "apostate" so why dont you do do some research on what people who have never been a jehovas witness therefor cant be cknsidered apostates by the definition of the word have to say about it objectively instead of just subjectively. Not I hope to. Right there he is questioning his Faith. He's saying, by saying" i hope to." That he's not sure he is going to heaven. I have Faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour! The point that Angus Stewart is trying to make is that you can either only be all in or all out as a JW. In other words, it is a captive organization because you have to either agree to all the rules or be wholly ostracized from the organization and its members. Although it is true that inactive members can evade the elders for some time, it doesn’t change the fact that as a matter of JW policy, you have to be all in or all out. There are many (especially the JWs that converted to the religion) that just pick and choose which rules to keep and which not to keep, and let all the other members just believe they are keeping the rules. These type of JWs are complete hypocrites. But, there are others, like I was (many of those born into the religion are like this) that believe in the religion (because they have had the truth hid from them, and they haven't been allowed to get information from anyone outside the organization to no anything different); and they meticulously follow every rules as best they can, and even risk their life to do it. They do it because they think it is what they need to do to get acceptance from Jehovah, their family, their friends, and the organization. Born ins (especially ones that were physically, sexually, and psychologically abused) have very low self-esteem, and think their cruel treatment and their ridged rules they are expected to follow, are normal and that it s something lacking in themselves that makes it seem difficult to keep the rules perfectly, and that causes themselves to be abused. I was one of those that believed in it, and tried to follow all the rules, and thought Jehovah allowed me to suffer because I was somehow so defective I must have somewhat deserved it. Only when I realized the organization wasn't really led by God that I left, and realized I didn't deserve to be abused. It's for people like this, that the organization needs to be dismantled.

After my Jehovah’s Witness brother in law was imprisoned for sexual abuse of a young girl after parents went to police he was reinstated back into the congregation with no warning to other families to protect their children. Since then himself , his wife and young child toured and stayed with witnesses in Mexico on a witnessing campaign . NO PROTECTION for all those families not knowing Sadly before this young girls family went to police my own daughter told us about this brother when swimming in a pool alone with him at 12 . He kept undoing my cosy top and he sucked on my bottom lip I told my husband ( JW) about this … his reply .. well she just doesn’t stay with them anymore Shame on me as a mother not to go further with this. It was very important in our faith to be obedient to our husbands and heavily indoctrinated I am shocked now I’m no longer a witness and have the freedom to watch and listen to all of these accusations ( if did this as a witness would be assumed on the fast road to apostasy)

None of these people have sat through elders 4 - 6 hour meetings for 16 years (and just for the record, I left the organization of my own free will, I was never disfellowshiped). However, when you are taught to look a mother in her face with a smile on your face and rationalize the death of her 6 year old child because of not taking blood fractions (which is allowed now - not whole blood transfusion)...when you are able to follow those policies because a group of men have twisted the scriptures, you are being totally brainwashed. Twenty five years ago you could not accept blood fractions or it would be considered blood transfusion. Now the JW policies have changed to accept these fractions because too many JWs were dying because they refused taking these fractions. Think of all the JWs from 20 plus years ago who would have been alive today had they taken blood fractions then. A treatment that is now allowed and accepted by JWs due to a change of their policies regarding blood which many of them still don't understand. You will witness over the next 10 - 15 years how more policies will change. You recall the overlapping of generations? I saw that one coming because the memorial participation of taking the emblems (bread & wine) was increasing instead of decreasing so they had to find a way to explain than phenomenon. Keep in mind that the vast majority of actual members a good well meaning people who are searching for God. Unfortunately, they are being spiritually imprisoned. Some one on this post ask why I still communicate with active JWs? Because I have known them for over 20 years, they are good friends, but they are being brainwashed and I am trying to help them before its too late just like another former elder helped me. They are still active members, yet they still call me without the knowledge of their elders of else they know the consequences. This tells you how they really feel about the policy of shunning. Elvis Hi Elvis. I don't believe in any organized religion. I am against religious cults as you can see. I consider myself a Christian as I follow Christ and Christ alone. It states clearly in the Bible over and over that all you need for true salvation is Christ. God gave his son for ALL of us and it's up to us to accept him or not. John 3:16 is the most well known scripture clearly stating that. That is the basis to my beliefs.

So what your saying really is everyone individually will be judged by then self . regardless whether they belong to a cult or not . I've been looking into Gods word myself. Interesting looking at Jesus words in . Mathew 7: 1-3. Jesus tells us not to judge. So i suppose we really shouldn't really judge if He tells us not to. He also tells us to become doers of the word and hearers only. I've been looking into the bible myself.

Elvis Yes, we are not to judge. I try not to judge individuals. I DO judge dangerous cults. There's a huge difference. I believe every individual is going to be judged by God. It's not only accepting Christ, it's how you live your life. Someone can say they are a true Christian but God knows our individual hearts. God also knows the false prophets that are misleading and hurting innocent people. It is also stated in the bible what God is going to do to these false prophets. Most of the people that fall into religious cults are true victims, and then you have the cult leaders who are NOT victims.

I agree with Jehoshua4u. He Scripturally explained the JW perspective very well, displayed humility, and expressed compassion for the victim. Of course, many may disagree with the position, and some opposers will likely reply with insults. But nevertheless, the JW org was represented well before the RC.

It has exposed lies, wilful deceitful behaviour, cover-ups and a willingness to commit perjury to protect the outward appearance of the organisation. Moreover,it will only have strengthened the resolve of abused victims in the past whose abuse was swept under the carpet to now come forward. This commission's expose of jws terrible treatment of child abuse victims and their '2 witnesses or go away' approach over the last few decades will cost the wt millions in the damages/pay offs that will ensue.

unicorn d'naranja LOL...those were my exact thoughts! He's known of all these case before even the RC knew about them, and he has definitely known about them in the past few weeks, and she was an active JW for years after all her abuse, why is he only showing sympathy for her now??
