I'm still watching! I watch each new lesson daily and then I revise the weekly lessons on a Sunday evening (such as now, Easter Sunday). I go through each lesson, listening to you and looking at my notes and highlight the words or Cases that you have emphasized. It is just on midnight as I type this reply. I'm enjoying the lessons more than ever! Thank you Nastya.

La o lecție mai incipientă, îmi place să observ similitudinile și structura limbii. O limba superbă, cu mult suflet, ca limba mea Română. Mulțumesc doamna profesoară. Спасибо 🙏

моя сегодняшняя короткая история: В прошлое воскресенье, мне было очень грустно. Я узнала, что очень дорогая пациентка умерла несколько дней назад от рака желудка. Её муж сказал мне что всё было очень быстро. Когда рак был обнаружен, он был уже очень запущен... 😥

At 14:42 why is is it купили instead of покупали? And the same goes for получили instead of получали? Because you usually seem to conjugate it (for example работаю and работал(и), изучаю and изучал(и)) Thanks again for the lesson Nastya!

@emiel255 Спасибо за вопрос!😊 Покупали, получали, работали, изучали - (несовершенный вид, что делали, что будут делать?) Глаголы несовершенного вида указывают на продолжительные или повторяющиеся действия, не доведённые до конца. Купили, получили, поработали, изучили (совершенный вид Что сделали что сделают?) Глаголы совершенного вида указывают на действия законченные (иногда однократные), приведшие к результату.

One word in this lesson I find strange: земля. The dictionary tells "earth" and not "lens". Maybe someone can clarify? Thanks!

It is the life that we are built on, that the nation lives on, that gives the bread of God, that we turn into dust at the end of time. I am Romanian and in Romanian it has the same meaning. It is more, much more than the soil of the country under out feet, it is much more than the land meaning in English. We have a similar word in Romanian, a more than 4000 years old word, glia, that essentially means the same and it is actually coming from the same initial one, together in time, through multiple millenia. For a nation it is our space that connects us and gives us life. It is very difficult to translate ‘glia’ from Romanian to English, or ‘земля’ from Russian to English because probably as naval nation the language itself can never imprint in the individual the meaning it has for the nations that use it. How to explain it best? Ok, with a very old Thracic word, carried by Thracians to Greeks, giving the name in the original Gods of Ghaea, Gaia, the Mother Earth Goddess. In the descendants of the Thracic Civilization, Romanians, it is nowadays Glia, in slavic it is Земля, it’s the same, it’s the earth that defines our peoples’ soul. Hope I didn’t make you dizzy and I was able to relate a little bit of what it actually means for the people of the nation, how the use of this ‘earth’ word connects us. Basically any Romanian can think even if thousands of miles away about his or her ‘glia’, a Russian can think even if thousands of miles away about his or her земля’ and I can guarantee to you that he or she will be instantly connected. Its meaning comes from God, for millennia through generations upon generations of ancestors of the nation.
