Great video! I used to live a couple of blocks from Ft. Lauderdale Executive. Became a Private Pilot in 1975 and used to fly the Islander in the Caribbean with a friend flying from San Juan PR to Culebra, St. Thomas and St. Croix. I love that little plane!. Due to health reasons I no longer fly, I'm 69 Now. But you can be sure I fly the Islander in the simulator!

As somebody who recently got X-Plane 12 and the BN2A videos like this are truly inspiring for flight routes!

Used to fly cruise with a little flap extension to bring the nose/attitude down. Little faster too. Well a little less slow. Such an exceptionally clear day with this video. It can get rather nasty on the route frequently. And all the smashing around above the east coast of florida while getting vectors for a 30nm final at one of this congested airports.

I'd rather do that than fly a 747 for Lufthansa. What an awesome job.

Believe me a 747 is a lot easier, pays better, more time off, and even more fun to fly!

Amazing! I want to fly the Islander in MS FS2020. You said the reduced climb power at 500ft agl is 25in and 2500 rpm, but what are those two numbers in the cruise please? Thanks :)

23 inches of manifold pressure, 2300 RPM

Hey! Awesome video - how long does that flight from FL to Treasure Cay take? and do you guys operate any other aircraft other than the BN2 Islander?
@MarekMarciniak Жыл бұрын
Ho, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes and no, the company only uses BN2's.
@abstractbybrian Жыл бұрын
Why do you cruise so high? For safety over water?
@MarekMarciniak Жыл бұрын
mainly to take advantage of stronger tailwinds, to stay cooler or just for a smoother ride.

@@johnnyrocco There is quite a few birds that fly ~5k feet like this but the way how dark and out of focus this is it almost makes me thing it's some thing inside the cabin, furball from the jacket or something like that.
