FYI that’s because they use a gigapress and one of the reason Tesla can pump out so many cars the Y is very impressive with only 2 pieces that they press together. Also reason it handles so good but any rear quarter panel damage on any vehicle is the most expensive

@@TheRadLion Are you wondering what you would need to be able to build a home without a permit? There are a few counties in some states that either don’t require a permit or a permit is easy to get. Really, it varies a lot depending on where you are. I just wouldn’t recommend building anywhere in which the costs are extremely inflated, it doesn’t cost $40,000 for a permit everywhere.

@jamil8lila3 ай бұрын
You would be right if the body were made from steel not aluminum. And if Tesla didn't require authorized, certified body shops. And if insurance companies could just magically choose to ignore Tesla's requirements to get a less ridiculous price. You would, ordinarily be correct, however in this case, the problem is a few layers deeper than just finding a "decent body shop". Cheers!

@@jamil8lila If you are correct about this, that just makes Tesla cars essentially a scam. Nothing against you, I’m just saying that making a car like an apple phone is ridiculous. They’re going to have some serious competition in the next 10 years if they don’t change that inability to fix their cars easier. If they keep that up, I genuinely hope they go out of business because musk would deserve it for scamming his customers like that.
@jamil8lila3 ай бұрын
@@Lumberperson hey buddy, I am no musk fan whatsoever. There’s about a 98% chance that I would never own a Tesla car for many reasons this being a big one of them but that end you should also educate yourself about other crap car companies that have equally as shitty policies, such as Rivian, Porsche and I’m sure there are more. Because of unibody construction it can cost $45,000 for rear quarter panel dent to get fixed on a Rivian so it’s an automatic total. If someone breaks your Porsche 911 window and there’s broken glass inside, Porsche’s policy is to require the replacement of the entire interior which can easily total the car --insane right? I just thought when you’re calling out idiot car companies you might as well be fair. Have a great day, my friend.

You definitely should get a second opinion before paying $11,000 for that. Either someone else can put in a new panel for less, or someone can fill it in and completely repaint the car for probably closer to $5,000. Just call 4-5 mechanics and body shops to get quotes. Don't just ask Tesla mechanics, regular car mechanics can fill and paint for less than that. And regular mechanics can probably replace the panel, it isn't a battery replacement so you don't need to only go to a Tesla dealer to get it fixed. Electric car places probably jack up charges because of their niche, you don't need them for this, don't get scammed.

Hey Devon, I love your places and this channel just rocks! A couple of things come to mind. Option one: Why dont you order a 50 pack of custom stickers at stickermule and stick it half on the kettle and half on the lid like they do when something is new ( It can say something like: This is an electric kettle-don’t put it on the stove, it’ll melt! Enjoy your coffee or tea! ) Alternatively, if you want to be more eco friendly and upgrade your whole guest experience, you can do exatly what I did when I was hosting, and order some square "post cards" or even business cards might work from Moo, and since Moo allows you to have different creative on the backs of each card, I would put just your logo and the name of the place they are staying on the "static" side, and on the "dynamic" side, you put little instructional "how do I use this thing right here" messages: "This is an electric kettle-don’t put it on the stove, it’ll melt! Enjoy your coffee or tea!" and a QR code to the cute little video that shows how it's used. You can use this for the kettle, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge , heater, etc. I did this when I had an airbnb, and it worked amazingly. I used it for all the "techie things" like my projector, record player, pool heater, etc. I bought a little laminator, and laminated the cards and they lasted forever pretty much. Instead of laying them out on the computer, my girlfriend (who has lovely handwriting) hand lettered the creative so it felt really personal and bespoke. I hot glued some of the cards to tiny little neodymium magnets and some of them we punched a hole in the cards, and threaded a nice ribbon and tied them so they would appear in just the right place for my guests to learn the thing they needed to operate. I told my guests to just feel free to throw the cards in a certain kitchen drawer when they have read and understood how to use the thing so they don't need to keep looking at them. They loved the "just in time" help and many mentioned them in the guestbook and reviews.The cleaners just washed off the cards and replaced them for the next guests in the turnover. Good luck!
