Hello friends! Today I am sharing a day in my life for what I do for full time work! I am a head hunter / recruiter so I take you through my day and some of my tasks! If you have any questions about what I do, comment down below! Let me know what you think of this kind of vlog and if I should get a vlog camera to do more!

I care about the Black Lives Matter movement. It is a movement, not a moment. I also care about all other minority groups who are being targeted for what they look like or where they are from. Take the time to learn about the issues other people are facing, it is very important to be informed and to be an ally.

The 2 o'clock heat wave you're experiencing (if it's not the heater kicking on or sun coming through the windows) could be a hormonal (insulin) response to the high carb/sugar lunch. If so, try switching to higher protein and fat and skip the juice, pasta and candy and see if that helps. My best 👌 😉

Any tips on how to get started on becoming a recruiter like where do you get trained on systems for it?
@SarahsSituation
@SarahsSituation 7 ай бұрын
From my experience it’s hard to pre-train on systems without knowing the one that a company you want to work for, uses. But looking up common systems and knowing their functions is a good start, understanding LinkedIn well is good as well! Getting started on recruitment will depend on what industry/ company you want to work for, but look up job descriptions that are what you want to do and look for skills you have and then how you can explain how you’ll learn the skills you don’t have! Apply and jump right in!

@SarahsSituation
@SarahsSituation Жыл бұрын
Hello! I did not have prior recruitment experience before starting my first position. I think it helped that I had had jobs that were customer/ client facing where I provided information to them (serving/ restaurant positions, sports coach and retail). Also I am a very social person and give how much talking this role has, I was able to showcase clear communication, being personable and retaining information well. If you go into a certain area of recruitment (for example healthcare or tech) it’s helpful to have knowledge/ a background of those positions/ companies so you have a better understanding, but I don’t think that is always needed!

I am now in internal recruitment, when I made this video I was not! I would start and see if you can be apart of hiring at your current job, whether that is sitting in on interviews, learning the process, writing job description, etc. Try to do recruitment in an area you understand, so if you work in retail, healthcare, energy sector, etc, start off in that space since you’ll understand the roles better then going to a totally unknown industry!

Hello i enjoyed your video, I would like to ask your advise. I’ve been working as the Station Commander for an Army Healthcare Recruiting Station for the past 4 years. I’m retiring from the Army in November. I was looking to transition into a healthcare recruiter position as a civilian. My career is challenging we have to find individuals physically, morally and mentally qualified to join the Army. We recruit Doctors, Nurses, Veterinarians and a million other fields. How is the salary, and what recommendations do you have? Looking at the traffic I was looking to work remote. I have over 10 years experience recruiting. I have supervised 2 stations and will have close to 5 years healthcare experience by the time I retire. What level position do you think I should apply for associate, entry level, mid level ect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@SarahsSituation
@SarahsSituation 2 жыл бұрын
Hello! It sounds like you have really strong experience in the healthcare recruiting space, I’m sure the army is harder to convince professionals to join, than it would be for a regular position! I personally don’t know what the salary expectations are in that space, as it will depend where you live, but if you do some salary review Google search you should get an idea for your area! I see tons of remote work opportunities, but again it will depend where you live what is available. I don’t have much direct advise, but over all you sound very qualified in your space and if you write a strong resume, describing the work you have done with qualitative and quantitative examples, I anticipate you’ll find what you’re looking for - best or luck!!

Yes, I still am in recruiting! But now I work for a company and do recruitment for the company, instead of being hired for companies I don’t work for! Basically I’m not more in HR than just recruiting. If you do have a working history, I would start with trying to get a recruiting role in that space! For example, if you work in healthcare, you’ll have understanding of the industry and general understanding of what certain roles need to be effective. If you are just entering the work force, I would work on your people skills and communication skills, being able to clearly explain a role in a short period of time is huge. If you have a current job, try seeing if you can sit in on any hiring interviews or learn more about the hiring process!

The title of this video and the content didn't match. If you want more viewers you need to talk more about you- who you are, job title, your background/degrees, what a headhunter does and how you got the job/why you chose field. Instead this focused a tiny bit on you at your desk, then eating snack, lunch, waxing, store, then home..learned nothing about the core of what you do-type of clients, general work hours, pay structure. You may want to try this again.

“Recruiting began with the military and dates all the way back to ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. The birth of the modern recruiting industry, however, did not take place until the 1940’s as a result of WWII. Employment agencies began to advertise for workers who were not obligated to military service in an effort to fill the void in the workplace left by those who were called to duty.” This job has been around for ages, and will continue on for ages.. who do you think hires at any company? Recruiters can be internal and external and do other functions than just hiring… I haven’t a clue why you are so bitter, every company needs to hire people and it’s not the CEO interviewing every applicant, soooo the job has to exist lmao but again, stay bitter!!!

I don’t recruit nurses or travel nurses, never did, I worked for an executive search firm, aka we only sourced for senior level roles at the C suite level - very different roles than travel nurses. I also no longer even do external recruiting, so again I hire for the company I work for, among many other things, for which has literally nothing to do with nurses or travel nurses …. But again, if I DID have a job where I got paid good money to click my mouse and watch Netflix, you simply could not make me feel bad about that LOL I am no where NEAR lazy, I have worked my ass off my entire life and everything I have achieved shows for that. I hope that you have happiness in your life and you don’t spend as much time as I suspect you do trying to tear people down online behind an NFT copied photo, for literally no reason.
