The fact that it’s actual dancers I find actually makes a lot of sense, it’s probably a lot less expensive to hire a bunch of dancers then to do all that animating, also a lot less time consuming so they can get dances out sooner

I think another benefit is also knowing that the dances are danceable and not too complicated, and also fun. I assume they will get some feedback from the dancers or the choreographers

Always figured it was mocapped animation. Beyond turning up the contrast, I wonder what other after effects go into turning the raw footage into game footage. Was already surprised at how much the colors seemed to glow on your costume, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if there really wasn’t that much more to it.
