10 people share that tiny space??? that's barely a kitchen O_O edit: I know that's typical in Japan but for 10 people sharing I would expect a much bigger kitchen and more toilets/ bathrooms/ washers :|

@@IAmQuebby right? At uni I lived with 7 other people and we all shared a kitchen with 2 fridges, luckily we had our own ensuites (fancy i know lol) but waiting for others to cook and running out of fridge space was so annoying lol. I can't imagine having to set up a timetable for 10 people to shower at night, let alone cook, do laundry and chores. no wonder this guy goes to the bath house lol

It's a tiny space but the rent is 48000 yen, which is really cheap for a Sharehouse. I live in Tokyo and I checked Sharehouses on many websites, and most are 60000 yen a month or more. The Sharehouse I live at now is 83000 yen a month, but everyone has a kitchen in their room, and my room is double the size of the room in this video.

Thats not a healthy way to live, with less and less socialising, smaller places, wonder why Japan has so high suicide and depression rates, where I come from people live in relative big houses, and are very social, family oriented, loud, the economic situation is not as good as in Japan but people here do feel more happier and with more freedom.

Especially since many houses and apartments in Japan are built with paper thin walls that lack any semblance of soundproofing or insulation. I'm honestly surprised he's allowed instruments in a sharehouse. Many private apartments in Japan have a no instruments allowed policy.

Came across this channel just now, wondering what’s up with the automatic sounding voice? 🤔🙄 That’s not real right? What editing softwares do you use? I am surprised about the shared house. Living in Tokyo myself with my family and i lived in shared housing in the UK but think it is uncommon in Japan. I wonder why his accommodation is so expensive for a room only? 48 for rent plus utilities sounds way too expensive for a shared house. I remember seeing the Sobu line in the video so along that line many stations would be not too inaka but cheaper to rent an apartment by himself. 🤔

Having said that as a producer he is certainly talented, even if the individuality scares me a bit, I prefer to spend the days with my girlfriend or friends, rather than using my time alone. In any case, I wish him the best, the result of his work is wonderful. Great editing Ken!

@@eatnplaytoday Depends on the people you live with. If you share with, say, friends or very close acquaintances, it can be a great option, as long as you establish norms and boundaries. Also, depends on the type of house, this one seems quite large and well distributed (bedrooms and kitchen in each floor, each person has a private space). I don't see it as a long term deal, however. But it's a great option while you're either living in a city temporarily, or are saving for an apartment for yourself.
