I am half Japanese and worked at a Japanese restaurant during high school. I was the same - I served tables, made drinks and dessert, dishwasher, and kitchen hand. managing her own business is a tall order, not only you pigeonhole yourself into a multi million dollar debt to establish your business, you also somehow have to figure out how to attract customer, and make food that people actually like. not to mention, owning a restaurant business mean that you no longer have any private time left. you should work harder than any normal human, or else, those Rent, Electricity and Payroll gonna haunt you in your sleep. owning a restaurant is a torture compared to working at the average 9-5 office job

@TemenosL2 жыл бұрын
I think the concept that jobs like this are something you need to move from, to something bigger and better, is a toxic part of modern ideology as much as an error in the order of a society. In a perfect world, you are either working a job because you love what you're doing, or out of necessity, but in such a way that you are not looked down upon. This is where good societal culture must come into play. In the USA, social standing is in large part extrapolated from what work you do and more accurately what position you hold over others. I think we should value the janitors and sanitation workers as much as, if not more than the Elon Musks of the world.
