It’s tv that’s why but everyone trying to get out. I was born in the Bronx left at 13 go back and forth to visit. South florida where it’s at 💪🏾 New York to cold, ppl going crazy, to expensive and waaaaaay to hyped. Even LA was better and San Juan Puerto Rico cause it’s like Miami and it don’t feel like you left America but feels like a vacation. You aren’t missing out on anything just cool to visit

Dont i was born there. And depression will be your daily life there. And fear.

@@ninirellaGet Out! I am born and raised there. Too expensive. Too crazy. I live in NYS and 2 bdrms are 600 a month. Come on down you will have peace of mind!

@@IAmRetiredSoon yep, I was born in the Bronx and 73 left in 94 but still hung out till 2003 but I have to say I don’t miss it and I knew I did not want my son to be raised in an environment that bad. Every day on my way home from school, I had to worry about fights and all kinds of other things something my son has no worries about now. And I agree anyone specially New York City I would not want to ever move back the suburbs where I’m at right now is not bad but you’re gonna pay in taxes something crazy. What’s crazy is I’m literally 20 minutes from my old house in the Bronx and it literally feels like another planet no major crime anywhere in my town in the last 40 years maybe a stolen car or two but nothing major. But I definitely wanna go down south I love Florida my wife not so much but I go anywhere down south. New York has a few good towns left and a few good towns are gonna cost you mighty big bucks even just simply walk around. I feel so much better in my town no worries of no crazy stuff about to jump off, and living in the Bronx I saw it all been through it all. had multiple run-ins with the police for no reason just crazy

I lived in the Bronx for 3 months and was a DC native, it was pretty cool. I was on Soundview Ave. I gained a lot of weight walking to the Bottegas everyday and eating chopped cheeses and Hispanic food everyday.

I lived in the Bronx for 34 years. I learned a lot. Miss the convenience of having everything super close by. And I miss the food. At the time I was a single mother. It was 2 expensive for me at the time. Moved to Florida. Been here 21 years. ❤. Still go back sometimes to visit

@@ninirella I’m not sure what part of the south bx you live in but there’s beautiful places there too albeit a bit more sketchy. You got sobro popping out over there. For me I’m right adjacent to riverdale and spuytin duyvil so the vibe is definitely different from the south. Just Sunday I was going to get pizza and for some reason there were hundreds and hundreds of white people hitting the bars around here. There were literally bus loads of them. It was definitely interesting. Last fact: about 20 years ago I was going to the gym and there were movie trailers everywhere. I stopped to see what was going on and out of my local bar Brad Pitt and Harrison ford came out. They were filming some Irish mafia movie.

Oh yeah stealing a person’s Lyft or Uber is definitely a big flex in the Bronx. The only safe areas are Riverside and Fields head and the metro north stations so you can escape.

The Bronx combines anything. Like a restaurant next to a supermarket?? They created the layout like “the choice is yours fr”. A Jewelry store, a gym, and frozen yogurt all on one block. Our borough is really lovely.

I grew up in the Bronx from 73 to 94 and while I do miss the Action I don’t miss anything else and I knew I did not want my son to go through what I went through. I want him to be able to go to school and only worry about School not on his way home from school what’s going to happen etc. Politicians and judges are crazy. They are letting people out with no bail on violent charges and gun charges. That is just insane. Some of them are out on multiple bails not sure who thought that was a good idea and why. I understand not locking somebody up for a bag of weed or maybe even a bag of something else but violent crimes should be off-limits. Sometimes I drive back to the neighborhood and I’m shocked a 20 minute drive, and it feels like another planet. If I ever went broke again, I would rather rent a room where I’m at now than a house where I was just having nothing to worry about feel so good. Only time I miss it is like Fourth of July and just summer in general , everyone was out the streets were buzzing all day and all night. Where I’m at now like I said it’s 20 minutes away and even on the Fourth of July. I’m the only house doing fireworks having a barbecue. It’s like a Ghost Town is nobody using their backyards it almost feels like a waste, I miss going to Peppino‘s Pizza at two in the morning or going Sues rendezvous at 1 AM and I know that was Mount Vernon but I lived on the border so that was close.
