You mentioned customer service in your last video yet I see you just put shoes in a satchel, no bubble wrap or anything after customer spends $150 for pre-owned shoes. I believe how the product is presented when it arrives is important customer service too.
@TheAussieFlipper2 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree here. Initially I gauged feedback results (2 years ago) going down the satchel / no bubblewrap method and I've not once had a negative review / message / complaint about the delivery of my shoes. Given this feedback I've continued to do it. Presentation would no doubt be improved and I think that is a big part of customer service but given it hasn't had an impact on my store sales / feedback I'll keep doing it.

As always great vid mate, how do you move past the days when you are just not motivated to list items
@TheAussieFlipper2 жыл бұрын
Truely just the awareness that what I’ve created is allowing me to have the freedom to work for myself. Big picture mindset. + I try to do things throughout the day that I just wouldn’t be able to do in a 9-5. Coffee mid morning at a cafe or a midday run. The flexibility is too good so the motivation to have that continue is the driver. If you’re part time it might be a savings plan for something exciting you have coming up or a debt you’ll no longer have to pay back. Always pull away from the day to day and remember why you got started in the first place

Hey Matt another great and informative vlog. I use those green tracked envelopes for quite a few of my items but because they are prepaid I have to manually write each address on them, and also manually add the tracking number to eBay. If I import them to my Aus Post business account to print a label out it will charge me for shipping again. Are you also having to write each address on the envelope or is there an easier way I have missed?

Enjoying your videos! I started re-selling in January part time..mainly media and games....doing pretty well but can always do better ;) This week eBay forced me onto the new lister (it will no longer let me go back to "classic" lister). I HATE it - I list entirely from desktop and it seems very mobile optimised. It takes me longer now to do listings and is more frustrating. I've left eBay feedback about it, but I don't know if it will make any difference.

Closer to $8 now with the cost of a satchel and over $10 to a regional area so still quote what the price a PO customer sees on the shelf $9.95.

@@davidnorton7464 yep $7.76 or just over $10 - might be best to cater for the $10 charge so lets look at those numbers. $80 sale = $12 fees, $10 shipping, $40 spend = $18 profit. Just as I thought, 2 copies roughly $30-$35 expected profit.

@@TheAussieFlipper my comment is in what we quote to customers for plus post. ie: if we're quoting + $7.76 post and our actual post ends up costing $10.16 + .15c satchel.... 1,000 shoe sales says otherwise Ann - I'd really like to challenge you on this one. Consider this and maybe give it a try and let me know how you go.

Back From Burnout uses padded mailers so the Bubble wrap is already included especially if you get a sharp object cutting the packaging in transit. We love the small padded mailer purely because they hold more in them for the same small post price of $7.76. ie: we can get a large book into a small padded mailer vs needing to pay Medium postage rates if we used a standard sized satchel
