Lol the only difference is you (we) have rust and winter grime in Wisconsin and Ontario! On a 10 year old civic I would still be fighting the rusted and seized splash pan bolts at the 35min mark

Hey man totally random question. I own two v6 hondas 11 accord and 07 ridgeline I have no idea if they have ever had a valve adjustment they run perfectly and I take really good care of them. Are there symptoms for needed a valve adjustment? I have come across many honda owners with very high mileage on their engines most well over 230k miles and most of these owners have never had a valve adjustment and they have been perfectly fine so I guess I'm just trying to understand how some owners make it so far without one and if I need one ?

@@shadowman1992 Listen closely to the valves when warmed up at idle. There will be valve ticking and fue Injector ticking. The valve ticks should sound consistent, if you hear one that's louder then it may need adjustment, don't mistake with possible exhaust leak too. If you can get an experienced honda tech to have a listen they'll be able to tell right away. Those older honda v6 engines were built really well. If the valves sound OK and you have no valve cover leaks to justify work I would just keep changing the oil and not worry.

Like the video. 👍 lot of people love these day in the life videos. Just if I were you. You should definitely blur out or cover the license plates of the vehicles. That why you won’t get in trouble with the dealership. 😀

Why did you take out the old air filters if you ended up putting them right back in? Looked like the old engine filter went right back in lol
@yotatech5032
@yotatech5032 6 ай бұрын
Honda made us take out both filters and send pictures to the customers so they can see the condition of them. Then put them back in.

Glad to see you used the torque wrench for the drain bolt. I do my own oil changes even when the car is brand new but I’ve changed some oil for people in my neighborhood and the drain bolt was over tightened and they over tightened the plastic oil filter housing and I had to chisel it off. I always use the torque wrench for any bolt I tighten under the hood but I even wrote the torque spec on the oil pan for the next person. Now my question i see you didn’t prefill the oil filter but let’s say the capacity is 4.6 quarts of oil do you compensate for the amount that is going into the filter? I always double check and even after prefilling the filter I put the required amount and check the dipstick and it’s still .5 quarts low so I know to add some to the required hash mark.

when you change the fluid in a cvt is it recommended that you remove the upper bold to check the level or do you guys already have the right amounts when refilling it? thanks.
@yotatech5032
@yotatech5032 Жыл бұрын
You’ll need a Nissan laptop with consult to replace cvt fluid. We add 5 quarts to most cvt’s after draining and you need to open consult on the laptop and when the transmission fluid is about 80-110 degrees you’ll take the excess plug out with the engine running and let all the excess oil come out until it’s barley dripping out. If the engine goes over 114 degrees shut the car off and wait for it to cool down and repeat the Process. Definitely wouldn’t be do able without the laptop don’t wanna fry your cvt trying to change fluid. It’s a very weird setup

Are there time requirements that you have to meet to complete a job? Like, will you get in trouble if you take 30 mins longer to complete a job than management says you should take?
@yotatech5032
@yotatech5032 8 ай бұрын
Not anywhere I’ve worked, if it pays 1 hour and it takes you 3 hours you only get paid one hour. But if you get it done in 30 minutes then you’re making money. But I’ve never had anyone complain. I’ve heard of some shops that will get on you if you take to long tho. Most places are cool about it
