My brother-in-law and his girlfriend signed the deed to a new house. She signed her first name and his last name on the deed although they weren't married. They broke up a couple of months after acquiring the home. My brother-in-law wants to do something with the property and she wants to be bought out. The girlfriend never put any money towards the home. Since she didn't use her real last name on the deed can she be removed from the title/deed?
