Love how you included technology, my kiddos know both as well. They’re still very small and sometimes they help in the garden and other times they choose the iPad while I get chores done. I never want to MAKE them work alongside me because it could backfire so easily. I like that these two have the chore money incentive as well. Way more realistic ❤

Veterinary Technician. I don’t know much about Sundays dog food BUT… I would never recommend a grain free dog food to a client. The problem with grain free is this usually means they replace the grain with legumes. This has been shown to block the absorption of taurine. Taurine is an essential nutrient in a dog’s diet. Lack of taurine can lead to heart failure, even in young dogs. Please do your research on grain free diets in dogs before choosing to feed grain free food!!! With that said I love your channel, just want to make sure all those animals stay happy and healthy❤
@celianewman48094 ай бұрын
I can attest to this. For many, many, many years I fed grain free dog food to my chihuahuas. We were told for the longest time that grain free was healthier. Well, four years ago I lost my 9 year old chihuahua who was otherwise healthy to congestive heart failure. It was completely unexpected. I’ll never again feed any dog a grain free diet.

@@Stephen_Viele it definitely can be cheaper to make your own homemade diet, just make sure meals are balanced so there aren’t any vitamin or mineral deficiencies 😊 I used to pay $120 a month for a bag of kibble for my dog and now I feed her a commercial raw diet for $110 a month.

Love you guys.... On the tortilla conversation- I'm from Austin, Tx and just wanted to mention that the most common method and most traditional way to make flour tortillas is using shortening or lard, traditionally from Mexico. (though some cultures would disagree with the origin of "tortillas") Most Texans and Mexican Americans don't think twice about buying tortillas with shortening or lard. I totally get that is on trend to use other sources of fat and even gluten free tortillas and if that's what you want to do then great. You have to make the choice that is best for your family but I wanted to explain why most Texans and Mexican American's and well beyond, choose tortilla's or make tortillas using shortening or lard. Lard or shortening gives the flour tortilla the lightest texture and best flavor. Every culture has their own version of a flour flat bread and most of the time the fat used depended upon those cultures, either for religious reasons or availability. Animal fat was the most common fat available for centuries. They didn't have all the options available today. Anyway, I do strive to use the most healthy version of fats in my cooking but their are some things, where lard or shortening works the best. Tortilla and masa for Tamales for me, there is no compromise. Thanks
@Just-Nikki4 ай бұрын
I use lard that I render or whatever fat source I have available from the past couple of days. Maybe that’s chicken fat or bacon grease or in a pinch, I use butter but typically it’s home rendered lard that’s very clean.

The best way to protect your chickens from hawks is to get a livestock guardian dog. Our chickens and geese free range over large pastures and we don’t lose any due to our Anatolian Shepherd who we raised with chicks when she was a puppy so she views them and our sheep as her pack. Our turkeys don’t believe in fences, they fly over and out every day. But we’ve never lost one to predators because our dog’s scent and ferocious bark is enough to keep coyotes and foxes away in the areas outside our fence. And we live next to a nature preserve, so there are many predators in our area

It is so worth the purchase if you'd like to make tortillas regularly - instead of rolling it out with a rolling pin, simply plop the dough on the press, pull the lever down, and in like 1 second you have a flat, round (raw) tortilla. It's a time saver for sure.
