Best times of my life were zipping around Iraq in a black hawk. Dropping on riverine islands and other tough to reach spots for cache searches. Was like a culmination of everything. Also being able to speak to a man circling in a Kiowa who was sitting on pods of hydra rockets made you feel like what you were doing at that moment was the most critical thing going on in the battle space. Crazy times.

Sir I have specific questions about becoming an aviator. I personal don’t care about what I fly. I just want to be a pilot in green to gold. I still have yet to get there. I’ll have my associates next year. Next I plan on trying to go aviation but I want to stay active and yet try to garentee me flying. I know warrant is so much better of an option but I want to commission. I saw your video saying to go reserve or national guard so you don’t have to be apart of the OML. However can you switch back over to active and just wait a couple years and play the wait game? Also if you are active or reserve do you get paid the same as if you were active as an aviator? I currently have 9 years in the army as a 91B and want to make a change. I don’t care about the 10 year ADSO either cause I want to do 20 years or so anyways. Can you please provide some guidance on that sir? Thank you for your time.

We trained many Afghans on Russian and American equipment and airframes. Remember the equipment we left behind was part of the Status Agreement/ Lease to support the Afghan military. The failure of the Afghan government wasn’t a US failure it was the Afghan military not having the courage to fight for their freedom. A concern veterans that supported the War. The Ukraine military men are warrior’s vs the Afghan men are not. 🇺🇸

Is it unusual for a commissioned officer to be an Army helicopter pilot? Aren't most helicopter pilots warrant officers?
@vectors2final364 ай бұрын
No, its not unusual. Commissioned officers lead aviation units and they must be proficient in operating their unit's aircraft. The commissioned officers manage training, administration, maintenance, personnel, etc. The warrant officers main job is to fly...so they become very proficient at it and are better skilled and more knowledgable pilots than their commisioned counterparts.
