Sadly in my high school training, all the girls in the club are mean to me because I’m practicing how to tape the athletics, it’s taking me awhile. :(

Natalya Heath oh for sure! I had a really great time in this club! I met a lot of great people but a few of them were strict and kinda toxic. What I felt in this club is very long to say (sorry haha) basically i would feel very sad actually. My club was full of girls and the seniors were bossy, it hurt my feelings that they were so toxic to me (to the point of yelling at me for the things I did wrong). I had to sadly work with these girls and do all the work with my other friends in the club while the seniors would do nothing and talk with the athlete players, that was really annoying. Now I’m a senior and will give the underclassmen the treatment I wouldve wanted when I first joined the club. I would say it depends on how your athletic training club is set up at your school. Do you have friend(s) in the club that have tried it? If so they might have experience and how the atmosphere is while training the athletes. My tips for you are 1. If you get your feelings hurt easily/sensitive then I suggest you don’t join (unless there are really supportive people and help one another in this club) 2. If you have a lot of free time after school this is for you! Usually last until the sunset. 3. Use communication with you club members while you’re in duty at school games! 4. Never (this is my mistake when I first joined) say “oh no! We’re gonna loose this game” or “it’s over” at a game in front of the athletes, it brings them down and possibly you’ll get in trouble in front of the sponsors. 5. Learn basic wrist, finger and ankle taping (videos on KZbin for beginners) 6. (From my experience in this club the seniors were very bossy and toxic) I hope you find and meet new friends in this club! Ignore the people who make you uncomfortable in this club. If they talk rudely to you ignore them. Focus on your duties as a trainer. 7. PLEASE DONT TAKE OTHER CLUB MEMEBERS SHIFTS FOR EACH OTHER!! It’s a waste of time and usually if they ask you to take their day they’re supposed to work it’s basically saying for you to do all their work while they stay home and do nothing (unless they have a family emergency or they are sick and can’t come to school). I really hope you try out this club! It may be for you! It was really fun for me and a new experience for me. And I will continue in the medical field for my college years! I hoped this helped! :)
