Are ship jobs permanent like any other job or Govt. Jobs on land? As a State Banker once I had to disburse pension to Ex./ Retd. Sea farerers. I viewed their pension emoluments would come irregularly, always sent by 'Sea Farerers Welfare Association' , not by any centrally organised competent authority or Trustee Board, would you plz. Clear it lucidly?

Good evening Sir ! I am one of the many sailors who have been stamped down by our system, I know your channel is all about good times. But it is also your duty (all top rank officers) to take an strong action against all the corrupt HR and Government department. I have achieved my OOW CoC(UK) by 13th march, but till day no job and expect few my batch mates all others are sitting home. We do admire your job of posting such video which portrays our life onboard a ship but the fact is, not every sailors do have such life and we all need to help each other to sort out such problem. Having an interview would only show us a persons theoretical way of handling, he/she might not be good at practically. I have seen people who are not worthy to be onboard, but they are severing at a very good companies. Why do such thing happens? This question is not out of jealous, those are the facts. Please do Request your fellow men to unit and stand against the "corrupt and ill treating departments". Or atleast ask each of your fellow men to recommend someone, if you are afraid of recommending someone to a company, you could interview him/her by yourself prior to proceeding further. If we don't change ourself now, we would change never. I guess this would resolve the problem for time being. I hope you do agree with me. Jai hind! Long Live The Sailors!!!!

Hello sir. Very nice and informative video. I'm also a 2nd officer my self. I've noticed that you mentioned "bridge is not a stationery locker"? As of now we are on paperless navigation and almost all the chart drawers are empty. So me and Master agreed to store some stationeries like paper rolls, cartridges, pens, etc. Are we allowed to do that? Thanks.
