@@t5jerry A big part of buying $10,000,000 worth of cars is showing off by definition. Partly to show you have fuck me car money and secondly to impress other car fans with ordering the cars. I know - guilty of both. There is no altruism in buying a bunch of brand new cars and parking them 95% of the time in a garage. Could just go to the Ferrari dealer and look at a bunch of fancy Ferrari’s as well. The cost in time, money and energy - there are always ones that are broken, flat tires, need oil changes and a service light shows up on the dash. Then they get dirty and a rock chips them and worse you get into a really big accident and get to fight with an insurance company. Leno at least restored cars which takes a lot of effort and creativity/ but just writing a check or leasing them - I found was eventually rather insipid and kind of pointless as there is always another new model that you need to buy and the truth is not much different than the older model. I am enjoying having only three Porsche sports cars and a c8 - and will sell another Porsche and likely the C8- the fewer cars I am finding the more I enjoy actually owning them and actually using them on the road- which is what they are for right? I have never missed a car I have sold. In fact it is a relief..
