I don’t use twitter but did find myself aimlessly scrolling on Facebook and Instagram. Facebook...well I never learnt a thing from it and instagram is all very posed. I’m currently doing ‘F-Off February’ (Facebook Off February!) and screen time is down a whopping 80% I have installed the ‘Calm’ app which is really nice and only requires that I listen, not look! I do like KZbin because I learn from it and watch a lot of skills based videos. I’ll probably leave fb/insta for good as I haven’t missed it!

Hey Tina, a cute wicker basket is the solution to the clutter on the counter. I have the same catch all problem in my home.

I agree. I recently started rewatching some of the old videos from Jen Ross where she is just going about her day living her life. It is sort of what inspired me to get back into vlogging.

I can't believe Casey is in the 6th grade and AJ is graduating! I can remember when you were just clearing out Casey's story books from his room, and getting AJ settled in at HS. Wow, time has flown by! I, too, have put on about 10 lbs. after a 40 lb. drop and what a struggle it has been to just say NO. Good luck with program.

Hi Tina, re: your messy spot... Baskets always help me. Whether they are lidded or not, they corral all the items so it looks like less stuff.

I miss Somerset! I totally have a spot on my kitchen counter just like yours. I try to pick it up once a week but it never lasts! I love the idea to save the WS hot chocolate! Love seeing the videos! Thanks for putting them out!

I sooo agree with the twitter comments! I feel like you: I do things for my hubby out of love, not because it’s expected! It saddens me the whole attitude that is portrayed. I too, am all for a woman having rights. The shaming of women needs to go. We should be encouraging and lifting each other up! Thanks for doing that!

What’s your beef stroganoff and chicken stew recipes..?
@tinabietler5 жыл бұрын
My beef stroganoff is good old fashioned Hambuger Helper. Yep, Hamburger Helper. My stew was homemade but I used a Costco chicken. I will be sure to film it the next time I make it.

I agree with you that Twitter can be quite negative, but I think a lot of social media is negative nowadays. I also agree that if a woman packs her husband's lunch or a man packs his wife's lunch, I don't think it makes either inferior to the other or vice versa. As you said, you do it out of love and just wanting to do something nice for someone.

Hi Tina! Great video as always! I think should try to buy a little container for your kitchen with a lid, or maybe just a wicker basket because it will keep everything contained! Also, would you mind doing another plan with me? I always those very enjoyable to watch! -Haden

Baskets are a good idea. Will have to start hunting for the right one. I haven’t done another planner video because recently I switched to Bullet Journaling and I am by no means an expert at Bullet Journals so I have been practicing and learning. Hopefully in a couple of months I will be ready to share.
@aspoonfuloforganization18455 жыл бұрын
Hi, may I recommend going to Goodwill because they do have great quality baskets at a super affordable price! (Sometimes the products aren’t even used). I also recommend because you lift find an older basket that might be a little warm and I think it would be perfect for your farmhouse decor. If you go the first time, and you don’t see any baskets you like just keep going every couple of days because they do switch their merchandise! -Haden

My Facebook was getting bad but I took control of that about a year and a half ago. I blocked ALL political things. I didn’t unfriend but I did mute people who constantly posted political stuff, and I did go through my friends list and edited out people who were really strangers but somehow ended up on my friends list over the years. Now I love FB again because it is only content and people I want to see.

I cut my screen time ( twitter, fb, insta.....) drastically. I also cut back on watching the news. Social media is so nasty...the news is ....questionable...There is no quiet alone time for people anymore..and I think it has really affected us and our humanity. I made a decision to take control of who and what I allow to use my time. Life is short. I am not going to spend mine listening to nastiness, judgement, etc... I haven't been this peaceful and happy in ages. It's WONDERFUL and freeing!!! People seem really out of control these days. I'm not interested in being a part of it. I'm really enjoying my life!!

I totally agree with you on the Twitter comments. Why would someone care if a woman chose to pack her husband’s lunch? To each his own but don’t shame a man for that. I never liked twitter because of the nature of it. I’m much more visual.

You are not the only one Tina! I gave up Twitter last May and stopped watching the news about a year and a half ago. The negativity on Twitter is overwhelming. Everyone is a keyboard warrior who spreads nasty hate every which way. As for the news I don’t care to hear the same three topics on repeat. I’ll occasionally watch, but I won’t allow myself to watch more than 15 minutes at a time. It’s too negative and unfortunately reporters are not held to a high enough standard anymore. Calling it “news” is a little generous. If I wanted to hear people’s opinions I would just stay on Twitter. Good to see you vlogging again!
@tinabietler5 жыл бұрын
I love that term, Keyboard Warrior. The only problem is no one asked them to be mean, nasty warriors.
