Thanks, there are redwood groves similar to this near the San Francisco Bay Area, that’s probably your best/easiest bet flights-wise!

I really need to get there. So magical. It's so humbling. I'd be overwhelmed in pure bliss 🤗 Thanks James. Awesome video 👍

I 100% was, bliss is the perfect word to describe the feeling in the redwoods!

@@JamesPuente oh man...thank you so much. I could feel the magical energy from your video. To stand next to anyone of those magnificent Giants would bring me to my knees 🙌 They represent some real power of our beautiful planet Earth 🌏

The park is magical. Bring money and spend it in town.

I hike once a week in the park. It’s well worth the trip. Boy Scout trail is physically demanding even in the first three minutes. Mill Creek trail is easy and mellow. Mill Creek trail takes you to the grove of Titans - 25 minutes from the new bathrooms on Howland Hill road. Bring money and spend it in town.

It’s silent on Boy Scout trail unless it’s windy. The trees sway in the wind and make eerie groaning noise.

I’m glad it was windless, the silence was spectacular!

you missed the largest Boy Scout tree! it's up a steep incline about a quarter mile or so before the waterfall.

Oooh I didn’t know! Next time 🙌

It’s actually 4 trees. Del Norte, the Lost Monarch, and the two Screaming Titans. Now the two Titans started as a single stem tree but separated into two trees. You walked past the Lost Monarch almost close enough to touch her.

😂 I knew those massive trees were special! Didn’t know which was which though

Mill Creek trail was closed during the Covid pandemic. The state of California gave up trying to keep people out of the grove of Titans. The trail was re- built and metal staircases were built to get boots off the earth. The trail was primitive and we tried to hide the “ society “ trail with branches so no one knew where the grove was. The grove was a secret until arborists Vendeen published the location. Even then very few people could find the grove, but now it’s a tourist attraction. The times of sitting in the grove for hours and not seeing another human, in complete silence are over. Come and see and spend money in town which is in desperate need of a financial boost.

I’m not sure if Mill Creek Trail was open at the time I was there (Nov. 2022), didn’t hike it. Drove that Howland Hill Road between Stout Grove and the other trailheads
@rayray419211 ай бұрын
@@JamesPuente it was probably closed. I hiked the trail even though it was closed for safety reasons due to construction and trail maintenance and improvements. There was no one on the trail. The workers were miles away and there was no safety issues. I was a rebel.

Mill Creek, not Mill woods or whatever you said. Mill Creek is the body of water that flows into the Smith River. Named after explorer Jedediah Smith. The Smith River is the third cleanest river in America and flows into the Pacific Ocean at Smith River California at the Oregon border. Mill Creek campground is located south and up the hill from Crescent City- about 5 miles.

Amazing how clean the Smith River is!

Boy Scout trail is more grand overall, and much longer than Mill Creek Trail to the grove of Titans. Sadly, the trail is infested with roots which are tripping points.

Boy Scout Trail was beautiful, I think Stout Grove in the morning light was my favorite though!
@rayray419211 ай бұрын
Well, you could sit in the grove of Titans all day and see no other humans but arborist Vadeen published the location of the secret grove and now it’s a tourist attraction.

Yeah it’s a shame the trail was getting trampled, but at least it’s now “protected” somewhat by offering people a designated trail vs. people bushwhacking like before. Would’ve probably been better off if the public never knew 🤷🏻♂️
