in mid-August 2019 i did the full Skyline loop. most of the snow had melted and so i was able to do the trail as a run, and it took me about an hour. it was glorious!

Very little snow out where you'd think the PNW should have more compared to other parts of the country! It's the same on the Massachusetts coast! I guess the saltwater keeps it from snowing as much!

This year (2024) with snow levels so low and it heating up so quickly now I’m not sure there will be much snow by mid-July.

Yep we were there in mid July 2022. It seems like they got a lot of snow this year as well, so I would still expect to hike over some snow in late July!

@@martinnguyen7047 According to recent hikers on the Alltrails app, this trail is open in May, but it's still covered in snow. The trail would be pretty dangerous and possibly more difficult to track the route when it's snow-covered. They recommend snow shoes right now.

This year (2024), there will likely still be quite a bit of snow up there mid June- it looks like at this time (end of May), hikers on Alltrails App are recommending snowshoes or spikes on your feet. I would recommend having an alternate trail option when you go in June, just incase there is too much snow still.
