*ABOUT 7 DAYS TO DIE*
7 Days to Die is a "Zombie Horde Survival Crafting Game". Yep, that's a lot of words. That's because 7 days to die is a lot of things. It is a zombie horror game. You are being pursued by zombies with the constant threat of a horde in 7 days, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. They come for you on day 7, and you have that much time to prepare. If you survive that horde, another one is coming on day 14, stronger than before. You must improve your base, become more skilled, or you will lose everything. It is also a crafting game, where you can build your base, weapons, tools, even electrical traps, and turrets to keep you alive through the night. It is also a survival game, where you must scavenge food, mine resources, and manage your general health through diseases and dysentery. What makes 7 Days to Die special isn't just that unique mix of gameplay features I describe above, it is also a "fully destructible world" based on voxel technology. You can dig anywhere, destroy anything, in a true sandbox environment. The replay-ability is near infinite, limited only to your imagination and gluttony for punishment. There are multitudes of settings for you to customize your experience to make it as tough, or as creative as you wish. 7 Days to Die is also created with multiplayer in mind. You can collaborate in teams, or strike out on your own as a lone wolf. you can form alliances, group up for the shared experience, or attack other players on PVP servers for the ultimate survival challenge. Will you be the member or a community, or a threat from afar? The many, many choices are yours.

@@mplogue Was flying down the road when I seen it was a Library. About ripped chunks out of the road getting back to that POI. When I walked in and saw all the shelves of books I did something unseemly in my underwear lol.

I have played this mod, and you can lock doors to keep bots out, and if needed you can lock hatch doors as well, plus I found myself just taking over trader areas since there was nothing stopping me

The mod dev says that knuckle weapons may be coming in the future, so when they do I will definitely switch back. I don't want to focus on a weapon that doesn't have a unique mod variant.

That checkpoint is a good raid. The end the walls are flagstone or cobble, and in vanilla there is always a shamway safe in there with a cigar and a can of sham recipe.

@@Genosis I used to cut a path through the factory to the office with the shamway safe, grab it an go. I'll probably have to do that again if TFP ever catch that that POI has the shamway safe in the end loot room.

Glad to see you gave this a full playthrough, I think you'll enjoy it and that's not just because I am a mod on the server for Zil lol. Just wanted to mention on the knuckles, that is something Zil wants to add but he's not found any models he really likes yet. It's on the shortlist of things he wants to add though, so hopefully sometime "soon" lol. If you have any questions, stop by the discord, we have a pretty active community there.

Oh, I know, more so just a "hey, if you get stuck..." moment, and a lowkey advert for the discord 😁 As for the knuckles, absolutely! I know a few people who are chomping at the bit for a good set of future knuckles, which is likely adding pressure to Zil to make sure he picks good models.

I messed around with this one a bit in... a21 i think. Maybe 20. Looks a bit more polished now. Always dug the concept. I'll have to put this one on the list. Looking forward to your playthrough.

Fairly sure, at least if I am remembering correctly from my last playthrough of this. If you put a landclaim block down, the robots can't open your doors within its range.

Nice house, but the bathrooms always look like an afterthought in these POIs. Like they were lifted from a cheap motel or gas station. I mean, Put down a rug, hang a picture and use something other than Never-been-washed-white on the walls... Just dropping a comment for it's own sake.

Glad you're doing this mod, just started it myself for the 1st time and am liking it. Like you, my start position sucked balls, every quest other than 'buried supplies' was more than 400 away but yeah, enjoying myself. Based on the size of the mod, I don't believe it changes things nearly as much as war3zuk but hey, that's the next playthrough on my list, cheers. Looking forward to seeing how you do things differently considering your # of hours in the game compared to my own OBI-one :-)

Quality intro music and be prepared to scrap. Everything. Salvage Ops is best friend. You can unlock doors and gates in the world also. If you have a landclaim down you cann also just pick them up.

I wish you hadn't chopped up that tree at the trader's place. It had fallen over the gate and provides a nice back entrance to the compound. But then again, since there's no protection I guess you could always make a new ramp in.

I have only seen this mod one other time while watching G9. It was a blast but I think it suites your more technical style of game play. All those bits and bobs you have to be a loot goblin to get the full benefits and you have to want to lean into those gadgets.

It's how they are explaining the zombie apocalypse. It's nanites reanimating the bodies, and I assume the process turns their blood blue

@@kevo7163 Be sure to downgrade your version of 7 days to die to 1.0 b336! (in the betas page of the properties of the game in steadm) 7 Days to die went to 1.1 stable and that is NOT compatible with most mods right now.

Sorry but I can't watch this one. I stuck with it wen glock played it a while ago and didn't enjoy it then and its no different now. Just don't work for me with these robots. To be honest I was a little down trodden by the fact that it seemed cool on the outside but once you start playing, there is just zombies which look and sound like robots. Basically that is it. It has very little "new" stuff in it and even the zombie and robot healths I had to tune up, the plasma tools had to be configured because they are by default worse than Steel for some reason. You need to look the configurations a little to make it better to play through.

Hmm I’ll have to check the tools out when I get there. The other aspects of the mod (the fabricator, picking up items, wrenching robots, the mechs that fire lasers) are interesting elements that help support any uniqueness it has.
