Absolutely brilliant cars. I imported one from the UK to Australia several yrs ago . I bought E120KHX . It's still running around Sydney as a private car , but with Aussie rego plates

They are great, built to last too, unlike the TX4s that are quite crap I've heard? Think theres a few TX2/TX4s running around in Australia, not sure! This cab has been sold on sadly

@WarwickshireTransport the TX 2/4 were sold in Australia to taxi companies here. There was an organisation in Melbourne in Victoria that had a Low Volume Import licence to import the Geely made cabs. All used the 2.5 VM Motori CRDI units. The cars also included an upgrade pack for AC & engine & transmission cooling etc . Still a few floating around Melb, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. These are the last variants sold in early 2020 with the first ones getting full import & compliance approval in 2011. Mine was a 1988/89 Fairway using the the Nissan SD 27? Diesel, Jatco 4 spd auto . The car had Ps, Pw,Pm, Cl & we added fully integrated AC . Used the car for weddings, formals, private hire etc . I sold it a few yrs ago , regretfully, but it's now someone's daily drive In Sydney NSW. I'll get another one at some stage . It was a head turner here. There is still one unsold vehicle here. A 2019 TX4 model with about 20 km on the clock . It's about $85, 000 Aud on road drive away . It's been advertised for some time

@@busesinthemidlands haha, nice cab tho, dont see many around now! i hear stories about it being difficult to get normal insurance for an ex taxi. do you find that?

It's a lovely cab, now in America! Not sure what its doing nowadays, I have no idea about the insurance lol, was looking to buy one myself but couldn't be arsed in the end
