Planning on swapping some components to make the car feel better even if it doesn't needs them, this car is the most KM car my family has ever owned. The 2.0 16v I4 132cv peugeot's coming engine is a gorgeous engine, already coming with good pistons. It would be fun to make it sound like the 306 Maxi's one, it's the same engine! XD

Man, the 306 Maxi sounded that way because of a 10.500 rpm redline, individual throttle bodies and pretty much an empty pipe as an exhaust (not really but if you compare it to a road legal exhaust system...). Once I saw a Nissan Laurel in Russia with a RB20E engine, a mileage of about 2 million. But the car was in much more presentable condition. The owner brought it to Vladivostok from Japan in 2005 with a range of up to 140 thousand kilometers. And he regularly made escort flights from Vladivostok to Moscow (about 12,000 kilometers). Several times every month. You won’t believe it, but the engine was thoroughly rebuilt for the first time only in 2013, with a mileage already over 1 million kilometers. It was the first cylinder bore for the repair size of the piston. Oil consumption is about 200 ml per 1000 kilometers (drives around 3000 rpm - 130 km / h). In the near future, the owner has a sleeve with a native diameter of the pistons, he is afraid of metal fatigue in the cylinder block. Among other things, the only problem of the car is the lack of native spare parts, especially body parts like optics and bumpers. For some reason, the Chinese do not produce these parts for our cars. And of course corrosion takes its toll. No matter how hard you try, harsh winters and reagents take their toll. Many digest thresholds and arches 2-3 times during the life of the car. The Japanese make very beautiful and reliable motors! I love JDM

Was quite common in that model. 5) the electric windows were next-level bad. Stiff and would bite into the seals. 6) rust. Everything else about it was great.

Nice video 👍. We drove our Mazda 323F BG from 1990 over 384.000 km until 2009. In that time we only had a few issues and 5 bigger repairs. A clutch, a driveshaft, one radiator, one startermachine and two generators. And the shockabsorbers and broken coilsprings at the backaxle. That's all. We liked to drive that car a lot and enjoyed it. It was a 1.6l 8V injection with 84 HP. We travelled nearly through whole Europe, sometimes with towing our small caravan. The reasons why we had to give it away was the high consume of engine oil, the second clutch became defect again and the massive rust problem. No chance again to pass the German TÜV. I felt somewhat sad when I gave it to the Mazda dealer for a new Mazda 5. The 5 was not at all so durable like the 323. We sold it last year in Mai and got a 2017 Kia Sorento. But still we keep also a 1999 Mazda 626 Sedan with full options. I will never like to give it away.
