It's nice to know that they're still doing this stuff even after the All Engines Go re-brand. One of Thomas' big appeals to me was the fact that all the engines have some sort of real life origin, some are directly based on real life engines that actually existed back in the steam era. A lot of the early episodes and books are directly inspired by real life events. That sense of realism is what appealed to me and has me revisiting the Railway Series and classic TV show as an adult. As a kid, I thought the Island of Sodor was a real place, and I wanted to visit it myself and meet all my favorite characters. These events give children a chance to live that dream.
