Hi Angie, I'm such a big fan! your videos are so easy to understand and follow. I was just wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to apply makeup on sunburnt skin? how to deal with the redness and apply foundation over it?
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
That is totally dependent on the depth of the burn. To simply summarize it you would have to moisturize and then use a foundation mixed with a green corrector to neutralize the redness over the areas that are burnt.

What are the best three shades to put in a makeup forever palette for contour to cover most of your clients? ❤
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
I have s112, s116, and S400 and I use them often but this is not enough to cover all of my clients. You would have to have additional shades depending on the skin tone range of your clients.
@christineschafer786 жыл бұрын
Thanks Angie, that's a good place for me to start. Majority of my clients are shades 2-8 in Face Atelier.

Hey Angie, I just wondered how you go about minimizing or concealing for clients that have extremely puffy under eye bags? Obviously getting a good nights sleep is helpful, but sometimes that’s just not an effective solution!
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
You would need to play with light and shadow under the eye area. Something too light would make the under eye look more puffy where as something a big deeper but still matching the skin would help to reduce the appearance of puffiness. Working strategically with light and shadow in this way helps.

Absolutely stunning transformation, looks so natural. Totally enhanced her natural beauty!. Please Angie, can I ask you a question?. I have a bride, who is usually fair skinned, with ginger hair but dyed blond and freckles. Due to our super heat wave in the U.K., at the moment, she is extremely tanned and also there is extreme redness to both her face & body. Which, the tan has made her freckles super dark. She don't usually wear makeup, but would like her freckles not to show and to be covered on her special day. Should I use a colour corrector or concealer underneath a full coverage foundation. I just want her to look her very best on her special day and hoping you could suggest how to cover freckles please?. Xoxo
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
These types of application questions are difficult for me to answer and I cannot accurately answer them without seeing your. client and technique. You will have to try a couple of ways of covering the freckles to see what amount of coverage and product on her skin she is comfortable with. A corrector and foundation/concealer will give you the optimal amount of coverage without having to layer a lot of makeup on the skin.

Hi Angie Love your work and have learned so much. Question: I don’t see you using sunscreen. How do you incorporate it into your applications, especially when you use embriolysse? Thanks
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
I rarely use sunscreen as there is no need on set. When I am shooting outdoors I may use it, but normally talent is not exposed to sun long enough (they are sheltered in between takes) and sunscreen has to be applied every 2 hours to remain effective. If I use a sunscreen for whatever reason it goes on after the moisturizer before makeup application.

Quick question: I had a client who had a very bad spray tan and her pores were stuffed with tanner. There were parts of her face that were completely white, completely tan and speckled. I tried my best to cover it, but it didn’t end up good at all. How do you treat a really bad tan/clogged pores. Thank you for your videos they save my life!!
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
Highly pigmented foundations will usually take care of that in my experience - also a bit of exfoliation with a baby wipe (or anything you can spot exfoliate with) before application may help!

The eye Cream, can we using for all skin types or we just using for dry skin?

You definitely want to cater the eye cream to the skin type - lighter texture for oily/combo skins, something richer for those with dry skin.

Hey Angie. I’m really hoping I get a reply for this as I’ve lost a client recently to makeup not lasting. I used face atelier foundation and the cinema secrets palette as well the corrector on the skin. Prior to that I cleaned the skin with acure brilliantly brightening micellar water and applied the embrolisse lait Creme moisturiser. I set the makeup with rcma no translucent and I applied the Kat von d lock it spray. My client said she experienced itching after 20 minutes and I think she may be sensitive to the parfum in the moisturiser. She also said her makeup did not last. Now I’m thinking that maybe the micellar water may have not suited the silicone based foundation. I also think the lock it spray may be water based too and I think water and silicon don’t mix do they? I also think the embrolisse moisturiser might be water based but you seem to be using it a lot in your kit including this video. I know that you don’t like to comment on questions like this as you weren’t there with me on the day and don’t know my application technique or the client but my main question after all this is... how do I make sure my products work with each other? You always read about water based primers with water based foundation. Silicone primer with silicone primer but if I don’t use primer and want to focus on skin care, how do I prepare skin for silicone makeup? Most things seem to be water based... im confused. If you can even address this in a video, I would appreciate it so much.
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sara! I definitely can't comment on your application but have you thought that maybe the client was just not happy with the makeup application? Although we are artists we work in a customer service based profession and sometimes people are just not happy with the service and that is ok.You are basing this all on the fact that your client said the makeup didn't last - how do you even know if that is accurate and honest feedback on your work? Just something to think about and reflect on.
@saramita54746 жыл бұрын
Angie Di Battista thank you so much for replying to me Angie! I am ever so grateful. I absolutely agree that sometimes the client just decided someone else was a better match or they just wasn’t happy with you or the application. The only last thing I want to ask you was more on compatibility of products. If you prep the skin according to their skin type, how do I then select products and make sure that they work together and not slip and slide/separate? Not even at makeup school or my time working for Mac cosmetics did they teach us about what products work with what because of their formulas! If you could include this in a future video I would think it could help a lot of people like me. Again thank you so much for your time Angie and choosing to write back to me. Xxx
@AngieDiB6 жыл бұрын
There is no formula or simple answer/video for determining whether or not products are going to work together - there are just too many variables to consider which is why I haven't done a video on it and can only talk about these things on a case by case basis (for example - my video about RCMA). Always give the time for your skin prep to skin in, silicone based foundations do not need to be applied over anything other than skin care, and if you notice something is sliding around on the skin - stop, remove it and change one thing in the equation (skin care or foundation) and start over. Everything is trial and error - even for me. Sometimes things just don't work together, I've even had situations where what I apply on my client's skin interacts with something they have applied earlier in the day that I didn't know about or didn't see coming.
@saramita54746 жыл бұрын
Angie Di Battista thank you so much again for taking time out of your day (life!) to write back to me. I really appreciate this advice and I’m such a fan of this channel. I’m really glad I wrote to you and I feel really lucky that you wrote back. I hope to work out compatibility within the new products in my kit and make sure that I don’t have such a hard time making it all work together during application! Thanks again Angie! Xx
