TO EVERYONE: Listen to Jared and Anmal! I’m still in my “beginner years” and have never blown up an account! Ever! Have a plan, know your entry, stop, and target ALWAYS, or don’t take the trade if your not sure. Use bracket orders so you dont have to watch the stock constantly. Literally, I’m doing every they advise. Ok, so maybe I’m more cautious than the average bear (or bull), but I’ve never blown up an account! Growing it slower and consistently and keeping the greed in check has worked for me. The content in these videos always provide educational value. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge!!! I’m putting it to use every day👍🏻👍🏻

Gorden Gecko : my W/L averages about 65%. I paper traded for only a month before I started putting skin in the game. Not because I was confident or really successful, but more because I needed to get out of the comforts of paper money and test my guts. I only traded 5 shares/trade at a time on low cost stocks with a max loss of $10/day. At first I tracked whether or not I was green or red for the day, and which strategy was mostly successful. Then began trying to “perfect” that strategy. For me it’s the ascending triangle/bull flag, the opposite for shorting, where I found the most success. After have a month of more Green Day’s than red days, I went up to 10 shares/trade with a max loss of $15/day. I’m now at the point where the number of shares vary based on price of the stock, with a max loss of $50/day. I hope this helps and good luck!

Well said. I started trading 1 year ago. I knew nothing and learned from every LiveTrader vid. Starting w $5 stops then $10 I'm now at $20. I can honestly say my largets loss ever has been $22 on a $20 stop. If you halfway know what you are doing you can't blow up an account. I would have to have 300 losers in a row.

DUDE! thank you so much for these videos. ive only been trading a few weeks and this video confirmed for me what ive been doing wrong. well at least one thing. I kept hearing buy the dip sell the rip. over and over. so I use the Premarket scanner, find a rapper, buy the rip and wait for the rip that never comes. did the 4x on 4x differ stocks Friday. lost $390. after seeing this video I went back and looked at my entries. all entered on the downside with hopes and dreams of recovering and blowing past the high that had already past. I got stopped out 2 times only to watch it reverse right after. very frustrating. im going to watching with different eyes next week. thx again.

Things like retracement, supply and demand zones (accumulation and distribution), getting out at 3-5 bars in your direction, and treating the candles like people and that they are trying to tell you something are things that have really upped my game. Keep doing what you're doing. You're helping a lot of us and I appreciate your tough love approach haha

Another first class video. Thank you Jared. Quick question however - in one chart you use pivot low of the previous day as the start point of the move to determine pullback levels (chart at 41 min into lesson)and on another chart you take the low of the day at the gap open (AAOI at 36 min). The stock gapped on both charts. Should you be looking at the low of the day after the gap up or the pivot low from the prior day? Cheers
@Live.Traders4 жыл бұрын
Great question...It's interesting cause no one asked for YEARS, now in the past month I've been asked this many times. If a stock gaps up and moves 3-5 bars then I use the LOD as the pivot low. However if it gaps up and doesn't move much, maybe 1 or 2 bars, then I use yesterday's pivot low...Cheers!

*My favorite trader Jared is back! Will watch this in a bit but quick question Jared, what if we get a day high which is very close to the previous day's high after a dump ? So example, yesterday's high was $2.95, then it dumped later that day to $2.44, today it touched $2.94 and follows a shorter red candle to $2.88, do you think it's a bullish sign and ready to break out with a wide range green bar or still a low probability? Thanks in advance*
@Live.Traders4 жыл бұрын
It all depends on YESTERDAY. Was yesterday a wide range bar? If so, then NO I wouldn't take it today after such a deep pullback...Most of the time when a stock has a WRB, it need 1-2 days of rest before going 'significantly' higher...typically anyway.

Great Lesson! U mentioned Shallow Retracemts (%20 and higher) and how it's not a good enough of a price correction.... Would it be wise then to formulate a strategy that exploits this by countering the move by shorting under the new High bar's Low 1/2 positions and adding if it breaks under the recent pivot? Do u ever exploit the over 100% retracement by letting it bounce and then taking it into the "new" trending direction...expecting a failure?
@Live.Traders4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't no. Unless it's climactic I won't short it. There are plenty of times I feel a stock will go higher/lower, but if it doesn't have a pattern I won't take it. Remember, 20% retracements are STRONG, but tired strong...so they often bounce, just not as much as they should.

Thank your very much for this lecture. I think, it fits right into my actual place at the learning curve. Highlight for me, because is struggled with retracements as such. But now it could be another part for gaining confidence through analysis: MULTIPLE CONCEPTS CONVERGING IN AN AREA. Is this applicible to the daily timeframe for developing a technichal bias for multiple day or weeks swing trades?
