Man. That first shot of the table and chairs is so nice. Love the colors and being able to see the chain holding the table in place. And the shot of the ferry wall with the pipes and doorway on the M6 has such wonderful colors!

Shodoshima is one of the favorite places I've ever traveled to. Thanks for sharing this, and I hope you get to explore more of Shikoku since you're relatively close by in Okayama!

Great ambient sounding and looking video. It's nice I actually feel I can hear the photos and I think thats cause it's also a relatable location. We have some islands like this down here too. Good work!

Really want to keep building on that going forward. That was the goal of this one, happy it got through!

Really great video, man. Loved the pacing, editing, b-roll and the way you let the audio ride during still shots. Speaking of which, amazing shots. The lena on that Rollei seems like a beast. And the night / sunset shots on the m6 were really evocative. Combined with the audio mix I really felt like I was there. Great stuff, g!

Yo this is what I was aiming for. It was my first attempt, but to see that at least one person got it made my day. You on point! Thanks bro!

11:08 "[I'm] just really thankful for the day." Wow, I can't remember when I last time heard someone said they're thankful for the day they experienced. This is one of the reasons why I like your videos, you're always so humble and respectful. I'm curious to see how your channel and photography develops. Please continue making such great videos!

I say it every day. When the good comes got to remember to accept it and enjoy it while you have it. Thanks for the love!

Hey man, yes re/ film flatness/taughtness. Once you get paper of the roll threaded onto the take up spool, place your thumb onto the bottom film spool and turn crank gently until slack is taken out of the roll. Then close back and wind on.

Yep exactly. I had the same issue with a different camera before and this is the best way to cure the problem!

Try the streetpan at 200, the box speed is meant to have almost no shadow detail, very much a film with a specific look. great video as usual though

It's some new 4x5 she just picked up but Im not sure of the name. I know it isn't Intrepid, but it is one of the newer 4x5 producing companies because it is 3-D printed! Thanks for checking out the vid bro!

Nice,vid, great island trip, beautiful place, thanks for sharing. About the film flatness issue. Actually, according to Prochnow (Rollei Report) this should be nearly impossible due to the construction, especially on the F models. While running thru the slot the film is totally flattened out by the rails on the side and the film pressure plate and slack is taken away. This was patented by Rollei. Also, the sharpness would not be evenly on the wall but wobly and displayed unevenly over the image. Maybe your DOF was too shallow - I don’t know if you are using a Maxwell screen but they might be slightly bit harder to focus precisely than the original. In my case, I often f**k up DOF because I am more used to 35mm film and lenses (have a 2.8C).
@ZoneFocused2 жыл бұрын
Good point, it for sure could have been me focusing too quickly and dot getting critical focus because I didn't want to hold the people too long. Side note, If I get another Rollei it's going to be the 2.8C

I haven’t shot it yet myself, but I hear a lot of folk shoot Streetpan at 200/250. That might be it’s true ISO.
@ZoneFocused3 жыл бұрын
Yea I would agree with that. It was way too underexposed and I think I slightly overexposed everything.
@randallstewart1753 жыл бұрын
His JCH 400 Pan came out under exposed because it is really about a 160 ISO film; always has been.
@ZoneFocused3 жыл бұрын
Yea everybody is saying that. Ill try again. Its way too underexposed at 400
