You should definitely go back to Saarbrücken, and cross the river to see the palace and the Ludwigskirche with the baroque buildings around it. And visit Speyer.

Thanks for the suggestion! What is the name of the palace? Are the buildings by the palace? I love suggestions and thanks for watching the video!

Such an nice Vlog. I like it. By the way - your box was one way to eat a Döner. The usual Döner Kebap is in a "Fladenbrot" sandwich. A Döner Dürüm is wrapped in something looking like a thin pancake. What you had often is called "Döner Box" There are a lot of ways of eating a Döner. And you should try them all.

Worms is one of the places from the "Siegried and the Dragon" Saga. You know, the story that Doc Schultz tells Django by the campfire in Django Unchained. The most German story ever.

You should check out Oppenheim, Bad Münster am Stein and Neuleiningen. All in driveable distance and all quite beatiful.
@styrkjarsteibjorn18603 жыл бұрын
And if you're in Neuleiningen, try the "Ochsenkotelett" in the "Burgschänke". It's worth a own Video ;)

Will definitely try out some of these places soon especially since the hubby is going on night shift soon and being able to have places in driving distance will become even more important until he goes back to days. Thank you!

Flammkuchen actually is a dish from Alsace (Elsass), so it is french. But in Germany we simply eat everything we like (•‿•)
@jorgbecker50283 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Elsässer Flammkuchen is famous but the tradition of making Flammkuchen can be found everywhere throughout southwest Germany.

@@jorgbecker5028 Of course. For one thing it tastes good and on the other hand ownership of Alsace kept changing between France and Germany several Times.
@jorgbecker50283 жыл бұрын
@@wora1111 True! That's why their culture is a mixture between german and french. Also most of the people there speak or at least understand german language.

@@jorgbecker5028 Since my French is horrible, I am very glad about that. And made sure my daughters took French in school!
@jorgbecker50283 жыл бұрын
@@wora1111 I cannot blame you for that. I took French at school for 5 years and I hardly remember a word 😁 Though I am fluent in other languages. 😳
