I'd have a pressure sensor/warning light on the oil "puke" tank/vent. Low pressure. Maybe 5psi. If crankcase pressure gets that high on dry sump system, she's blowed up!

Funny to see back to back legends showing different tire content. Tom has run the inner tube tires Steve showed and Steve said it was the Goto for all the promod guys. I’m definitely far from knowing big tire life but didnt the Goodyears shake every pass? They definitely wrinkle a lot and even with after the bar change it still looked like a ton of separation on launch with them back shock. I’m just wondering what day the internet experts

If turbo is tilted too much the lube oil will drain partially to exhaust, esp with roller bearings. Might want to check that out.

Seems to be a common problem with racers who pick and choose only a handful of events per year, the quicker the car the more you have to keep up with it, they don't do well when they sit a month or two wether it's methanol or gas powered, another problem is the amount of computer processes that are subject to vibration, g Force's, radio frequencies, heat make any car a hostile environment for a computer, let alone a 5 second "street" car.

Sounds ti me like oil is getting past the turbos and making your engine run away on one bank. Would definitely explain the throttle sticking too. Obviously there could be much more that explains it and I've only made it half way through the video but yeah

I think there's a strong chance you toasted the rings. The smoke increases a good deal when you let off which means less chance of turbo oil and more chance of rings being the problem.

Egt sensors will last for years if you keep them under 800-900 degrees. Not so much at 1100-1200.... Some sensors wont last an entire run at those temps....

I was just thinking when you have the smoking Turbo every turbo IC on a diesel is mounted level maybe the seals and the bearings need that to combat Heat just an idea I hope it can help

All that turbo oil is gonna screw the whole deal up. Those cylinders are gonna set off the knock sensors which will lean out the other side (maybe only 1 or 2 cylinders). And it’s gonna give weird plug reading and maybe lowered fuel pressure, as in trying to turn it off. JMHO

I'm still not sure why you don't have a safety setup on the fuel pressure??? If it drops below X or your AFR is beyond X, cut ignition. 🤷

I do have a question or 3. #1 While I do get that you can only carry just so much with you, ( both because of space constraints as well as financial ) why not carry a 2nd set of injectors with you? #2 Why not carry at least a couple of spare EGT sensors with you? #3 Why not move the suspect injector to a different hole prior to making that last pass? Seems like then you would know more about where exactly the issue lay. As small as those items are, when combined with pushing that engine as hard as you do, it just seems like those items would be among your spare parts. I am in not way trying to belittle or berate in any way shape or form, just trying to gain a better understanding is all.

Re, during the burn out and the pass watching Tom's head stay rigid, in one spot while his body moves even though only slightly I believe I would get a kind of chlostrophobic feeling. I'm sure a guy would get over that but that was a thought that passed through my mind.
