Feed both top and bottom rails and put a return of a smaller Y out the back of both rails. This should give you some small amount of back flow from the lower rail if the upper is being pulled dry. Providing your feed in the the shut off lower rail is larger then the return line. 2x -10 feed 2x rail 1x -10 Y then smaller -8 return.

Something to know about raising fuel pressure. Once you reach a certain point, 2 X the pressure does not = 2 X the flow. This is due to choked flow caused by increased velocity of the fluid creates turbulence. Think about your pneumatic screen door closer , let it close by it's self and you get X speed , push it and it will go faster, push it with 2 X the force and it does not move 2 X the speed.

Many are saying return out the top center of each rail to expell air, I agree to send the return down to lower injector set. But you could do a dead head balance tube maybe AN-4 up from each rail to a single capped valve stem up and forward that would trap as much air as possible in the balance tube, and remove the cap put a cup over the end and press the stem valve center pump on and bleed out any trapped air between runs. It would not bleed off all the air, but if you put a return pressure regulator (just like a single injector TBI system IE: a 1980's Era 2.2L Bosch unit on the return line back to cell or tank, and adjust the system pressure on return rather than incoming side, as soon as you turn on the pump prime it blows all air present in the system back to tank or cell and empties the air to cell and return line only before any injectors even open leaving incoming charge all fuel. Start with a 10 sec. Pump prime, and work from there looking at time required to remove all air bubbles from the return flow back at the cell. Removal of the air in the system always reduces cavitation throughout the pressured system. Filters on the system should either be mounted angled in direction of flow (low inlet, high outlet, or level horizontally).

Craig Railsback of BDS fame taught me those fuel rail Basics 23+ years ago when I was only using 8 injectors total and 6/700 hp 6200 rpm..... each rail got a # 10 feed and a #8 return to the regulator and that was only 45/55 PSI rail pressure. There's also the mechanical/hydraulic effect in the rail.... as those injectors slam off the abrupt stop of the fluid creates turbulence {backward pulse/wave} in the rail that pushes fuel away from other injectors... Large ID rails and hose, regulator at exit, help absorb/dissipate that turbulence ......that's just the basic idea, to much info to finger poke......

The fuel rail starving #8 injector causing it to lean out the cylinder makes sense. I would like to see an internal pressure map of the fuel moving in that rail while under load and high demand and how the other three injectors pulsing in that bank disrupt flow before reaching #8.

Could you (temporarily) take your existing fuel rails and run them in parallel on each side instead of in series? On his engine he does this with dual feed front and back with single return out the middle, what I am suggesting is split the feed to both rails on one end and combine the returns out the other end, this may stop the air bubble issues he mentions for injector 8 improving fuel pressure all around.

tom why not loop the feed so that you have COMPLETELY equal pressure to every injector? so instead of having 5 holes disregarding the feed lines.. have 9. so instead of going (Feed and Return) F>4>3-R F>1>2>R have it loop between them too. so a loop AROUND the first injector at each end... F>L>1>L>2>R and from the other end F>L>4>L>3>R the holes marked L for loop are connected. you could even have a T off of the middle of each loop to balance it further. or does all this cause more cavitation cause you are introducing a bunch of fittings? you could try both and tune separately on each of them to see if there are any differences. those T off each loop could also link over to the other rail..... making everything statically balanced in terms of pressure maybe not for flow?. please let me know if you think this would work. @stevemorrisracing flow over pressure any day of the week. bigger is better. IM MORE EQUAL THAN YOU. BUILD MY ENGINE FOR THE 2 CYLINDER BIKE WORLD RECORD within a few years (torque moment over peak HP any second of the day cause HP is a function of torque increase over time divided by work)

Megh, I hate Precision Turbo. They won't sell individual parts for their Turbo's, aka you can't rebuild them on your own or with a competent Turbo Shop. You just need a new bearing for Turbo? F U ship it back to Precision. You need a new seal for your Turbo? F U ship it back to Precision. Meanwhile Garret or Borg Warner, they don't care and will ship you whatever part. I get that Precision makes good Turbos but why you Drag and Drive guys like them is beyond me.
