You should have seen my reaction when the ending played with this song and like nearly everyone was dead save, Dylan, Emma, Max and Nick, The whole hackett family except for travis and Silus, I always like to play non lethal as possible in games and this game says "screw you" for that

Love how songs immediately put you back to some moment in time. This one invariably jumps me back to driving down a particular part of the 101 freeway as a teenager (multiple decades ago). Even though I had heard the song many times before and after that, for some reason that particular instance of it coming on the radio stands out. It’s great when songs do that.

My childhood memories brought me here. This was the first song I heard that wasn't a nursery rhyme. My first grade teacher had us learn to read by reading the lyrics. Once we got good at reading the lyrics, she then played the song and we would sing along with Mickey, Peter, Davy and Michael daily. Then after that, we all sang the song for the homecoming queen at the homecoming dance; I'll never forget the look of unbridled joy on her face after we finished. This song will forever be in my iTunes library.

You want a haunting song from the same singer-songwriter who wrote this one, you should find "Broken Roses" from John Stewart's final album. Both the lyrics and the guitar work are memorably haunting - I recommend only 2 listenings at a time - 3 in a row and you won't be able to shake it outa your brain . . .

This song reminds me of 12 years ago when I was 5 years old on a car ride home on a Saturday afternoon and the song came on. For 12 years I never heard the song again until about 2 months ago on another car ride home on a Saturday afternoon, even though I was not alive in the 60s this song brings back some childhood memories. Now I listen to this everyday lol.

I remember rushing to the TV every Monday at 7:30 to watch "The Monkees." They seem pretty wholesome compared with the stuff today--but they didn't last long that way... Thank you for being good role models (most of the time). Before Davy Jones died, he said he had been raised in church--"everything revolved around the church,;" his mother played organ, he said, etc. That, I think, explained maybe why he was so sweet and humble. But their music was good also--talented bunch! Thank you, Monkees, for your comeraderie!
