There's something so rich that I unbury every time I listen to Adult Jazz. And it's not some kind of obscure angsty concept... They literally capture music for music's sake and make something that's beyond the commercialistic culture of art. It's as if all of the sounds they create are solely from that feeling we artists get when we have that digging urge to utilize our senses and our physical states to make something that means more than a simple thought. They transcend the commonly known levels of music and travel further, giving the music an ability that can directly penetrate souls of human beings. It's existential, yet dream-like and completely emotionally intriguing.

Wow Chase, 5 years later i read your comment and find myself deeply resonating with your words - your short punchy essay of a comment. I'm VERY glad to have just discovered these guys, reminds me of the extremely emotive and original Animal Collective (whom are my all time favourite kind of music).

I’ll dig soil and quell the swell a while If you pay me in grain Even the rivers turn hostile If you deal me in pain Since life won’t place things at my feet Will you just wait with me? My hands don’t suit the things I hold And I am already born Even the gold is rusted dull If you leave me to mourn Since life wont place things at my feet Will you just wait with me? It’s a just weight Wait with me? Do you dare? don’t Get stuck in a day hole Do you dare do anything? You will wear all Your artist’s apparel And not dare do anything Easy swing an easy swing, it’s the easiest thing And the distant relief Does make no does make no comfort for me And the rice and the meat Does make no does make no comfort for me I wanted to find my oldest-of-boots And capitalize on my skills in forgetting There is a list of things There is a list of things that are still good But it’s the easiest swing It’s the easiest swing into darkwoods

I really didn't like "Earrings Off!" it was a little too wierd sounding to be taken seriously. Although "Gist is" is fucking rad.

Dude fuck off, I love Adult Jazz i just don't like the one album. "so why not leave the originality" what the hell does that even mean, I can have my own opinions.
@awsmunicorn74885 жыл бұрын
@@bioshock4life99 it still has some good songs but personally I find it too clustered, I'm nervous yet excited for the new album.
