When you're doing dense rhyme schemes you sacrafice things. Opposite is true Like how Kendrick kept it simple during the beef usually only rhyming the end syllables but it allowed for more flexibility for intricate lyrics. Cole went with a great rhyme scheme and great material. Which is more impressive to me.

This is my first real J.Cole song, I enjoyed listening to it with your insight. I knew about him before the beef but never tuned in, and unfortunately my first impression of him was 7min drill, his apology, and then Grippy. I heard a fan album mix with him and Kendrick (Millennial Folklore) and had been meaning to get around to checking him out.
