That sheep/Judas line was a triple. He started the verse with the bible reference (pray for me on the 3rd) - (I heard a lot of sheep in the circle and you the goat) - (the Judas come to purge). A Judas goat is a trained goat used in general animal herding. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them to a specific destination. In stockyards, a Judas goat will lead sheep to slaughter while its own life is spared. (named after Judas Iscariot who led Christ to his death) There is more depth in the first line of this song than most artists careers.

Dot bots don't want to hear that. Dot hasn't been lyrical. He is doing what Cole was doing on KOD that they said was "too preachy" but i dont them saying that about Dot🤔. And now Cole is levels above him but they keep comparing old Cole to old Dot. These two have grown. But Dot CANT TOUCH COLES PEN.
@ErectFinger97Ай бұрын
I see what your saying but I think going back through both their disogs is needed to do a fair comparison. Kendricks Mr Morale album didn't call for bars, it was pure portrayal of emotion and spirituality. Cole did that same thing on for 4 your eyes only, each had a couple hits thrown in to balance them out. GMMC and 2014 forest hills drive are comparable in that same way as well as KOD and Damn. Kendrick has the leg up in terms of TPAB even though we won't get another album like that from him. I think Cole perfecting his pen game with the off season and might delete later is coming at the perfect timing for his fans to put him on top when the fall off drops but if you go album to album, the two will be undeniably equal.

Cornballs can hate all they want, but cole is the best of the big 3 whether you like it or not, he doesn't need controversy to prove his worth, lyrically he's untouchable, the fall off will shut everyone up, the only reason they bring up the apology is because they finally have something to descredit cole with😂
@r.johnson1170Ай бұрын
I've been saying recently that Kendrick can out-antic Cole, but he will never be able to touch Cole's pen. Cole will he 40 next year and actually acts like it. He's not sitting at home coming up with tactics to create controversial tactics to get the public on his side and buzz around his name again. He just lets his talent speak for itself...and it always does.
@abbamalami9171Ай бұрын
@@r.johnson1170facts, Kendrick felt so insecure about Cole's run that he felt he needed to challenge him to secure his spot, Cole would have murdered him if he was serious, people forget he was the only one in the big 3 not to get bullied by Diddy so how they assume he's scared of Kendrick baffles me
@r.johnson1170Ай бұрын
@@abbamalami9171 You're right on everything. Kendrick has a major Napoleon complex, his insecurity is obvious. I understood what he was trying to do when dropping Control. He was trying to bring back the competitive aspect of it. But what he did from the time Like That dropped to Not Like Us could be compared to a toddler kicking and screaming when they don't get their way. He felt a way about Cole getting his shine and him being an afterthought. Then he really felt a way when Cole and Drake starting working together heavily again.

Dope reaction as always. I think the convo at the end was really important. But, I think we have to remember that even though these bars and lyrics make sense to some of us, there are tons of people who didn't think either of these verses were clear or coherent because they don't have the knowledge or lived experience to get it. If we are listening to something that seems vague or not easy to understand it may be an invitation from the artist to step into their knowledge, experience, or perspective.
