Debbie Gibson was only 16 years old when she was in the studio recording this first album. She wrote all of the tracks, while co-producing and mixing many of the tracks also. In the days when record companies were putting out teenage pop artist, Gibson was uniquely talented for all her skills. For fans of hers, there's an extended version of this song that pretty great also. GREAT REFLECTIVE REACTION!

My father got to see her singing at a BabyO's bar in Seaside Heights back in Summer 1987. She'd just started her career & already had an upcoming Hit. He said she was amazing 🎉 & sang, "Only In My Dreams".

Regarding what you said at the end about relationships, my take is neutral at this point! Both genders can be so complicated and nearly impossible to understand! No wonder 🤔 a lot of people are turning to AI, like chat bots, AI girlfriends and boyfriends and the like! It seems like our options are not looking too promising these days!
