Some of these young kids kill me! They critique a few records now they're expert on on the music industry. Some of them can get very disrespectful. They take out generation of music and butcher it just for views??? I mean if they want to get into it at least they should do proper research.. Patrice a (One-hit-wonder)🤔😀🤣

Patrice is considered the female version of Prince when it comes to musicianship. She’s a classical trained Jazz musician and has several other hits as well; “Haven’t You Heard”; which was sampled by Kirk Franklin, and “Feel So Real”, “You Remind Me”, “Number One” to name a few. Patrice has also been the musical director the 46th, 47th, and 48th Academy Awards ceremonies. She’s definitely worth taking a dive into.

Yep, ithe musical dexterity and the overall mentality of a composer/producer, PR is Prince’s match. Now ON STAGE, in my humble opinion, Janelle Monae has that Prince-esque charisma and ownership. ✌🏽

Musical prodigy, musical genius, musically gifted is Patrice Rushen. Underrated, underappreciated is Patrice Rushen. Covered by the likes of Mary J. Blige and Musiq Soulchild this woman has all the talent in her less than 5ft stature as many, much more famous musical icons. While she didn't chart high and often, she did make great music that you should check out. Settle for My Love, is my suggestion. (Covered by Musiq) You'll enjoy all of the suggestions I've seen here.

As one who is very familiar with Patirce's music, I have a difficult time classifying her as a 'one hit wonder'. Because she was a jazz/r&b artist I'd look at the R&B charts and there you will find 5 top 20 hits - this one, Feels So Real (Won't Let Go), Haven't You Heard, Look Up and Hang It Up. She also has some cult hits like Remind Me and Number One. Her music has also been sampled several times in hip hop.

Great video, Patrice Rushen (last name pronounced like a citizen of Russia ... "Russian") had a string of classic hits in the 80's, that include... You remind me, haven't you heard, and she also plays the keyboards, flute, clarinet and percussion very well. But she's definitely not a one hit wonder. Infact, you should do a reaction on her other large hits... You remind me and haven't you heard, again great video.

As Patrice came out of the jazz genre, that was what she was more known for. She's helped here with two other jazz greats bassist Freddie Washington and saxophonist Gerald Albright. Even though she's looked at as a one-hit wonder, this song was off her seventh studio album. She even appeared and played keyboards on close to 300 albums that were released in the U.S. and Japan. GREAT CHOICE ANGELA . . . GO GET YOUR GROOVE ON!
