This brings back another of memories. I was station over sea in Army. She was big back then . Several of us would go to the clubs on the weekend if we didn't have duty. All her song were big over there. (Italy). Keep up the good job. Love what your doing.😊

Donna Summer was an artist who transcended the Disco era and went on to make great recordings in the years thereafter. Always amazed me how similar the voices are when you compare Donna Summer to another favorite of mine Laura Branigan. Listen to their respective versions of 'Dim All The Lights' especially to see what I mean.

We miss you Donna...and Laura was gone way too soon.

Many people thought Donna was the singer of Gloria and Laura Branigan's mother thought Heaven Knows was her own daughter singing. Laura loved Donna Summer. A duet with them would have been amazing.

This song was played on several soap operas in the early 80s. I love her vocals on this track!

Donna Summer has a great voice. This is a slower tempo than many of her songs , but really excellent-Colin Ward

This song was from her second post-Disco album produced by Quincy Jones. I had it on heavy rotation. Nice choice of a seldom-played gem. The other hits were Love Is In Control and State of Independence. She ends the album with a fine updated version of the Ellington/Strayhorn classic Lush Life.

Ms. Summer was bringing back her sultry sexiness with her musical association with the Q...Quincy Jones. And with his association with the Q during this time period, guitarist Steve Lukather brings in some tasty rhythm guitar while flowing with the melody. Luke was on several Q projects including 'Thriller', 'Every Home Should Have One' and 'The Dude' to name a few collaborations. By the way, even 'the Boss' Bruce Springsteen make an appearance on this 1982 album.

I love this song! It is still very popular in Latin America. She has the very best voice. The song was released in the US in early 1983. She is also 9 months pregnant in the video!

Always loved the music in this , so cool and laid back, with the synths , one of those songs I would play while riding around Memphis late at night , just cruising or heading home …

👌 Donna had fantastic range.I believe this song got up to #33 in the Pop charts.Donna/her team wanted a ballad hit but never was able to. 🤔 I believe Geffen records kept picking the wrong (follow up) hit singles in the '80s.
