This is a dirty, dirty song. Very sexual song for those understand it. And that saxophone always does something to me on a solo especially how this player "romances" it

Yes, Helen Folasade aka Sade Adu is a Nigerian/British born in 1959 Fashion Designer that formed a Jazz Band with Andrew Hale, Paul Spencer Denman and Stuart Matthewman. I have her "Diamond Life" 1984 Lp on Cassette and her Greatest Hits Anthology Song Book for Guitar & Keyboards. Guitarist & Saxophone player Stuart Matthewman is Great. I like all her Recordings & Songs; "Your Love is King; Cherry Pie, Hang on to your Love, Smooth Operator, Kiss of Life, The Sweetest Taboo, Cherish the Day, Paradise, No Ordinary Love - 1992, Is it a Crime - 1985. Sade is The Epitome of Class, Talent & Sophistication. Her Band is Professional Musicians that produce Quality Recordings! Thank You Angela, "Is it a Crime" is Revered by Musicians, I love The Chord Progression, Crescendos, Horns, Vocals and Production.

Sade's live performances are so much better because of how beautiful she is. Not only are my ears treated to beautiful music, but my eyes are treated to how beautiful she looks. Recently, I heard her version of William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful For What You've Got". That one is a song I continue to listen to daily. The lyrics are exactly what I need to hear.

Awesome, killer performance!!. Every single note in all instruments played exactly, almos 99.9% as we can listen from "Promise", the album released that year, 1985, featuring this superb song as the opening tune, as well. Her voice is mellow, like a soft breeze to the ears, almost a whisper, as she did in the previuosly 1984 relased album "Diamond Life", where there is another terrific song such as "Smooth Operator", I guess 1985 Grammy Winner, so I need to check it out this fact. Sweet reaction, dear, you always pay good attention to every requested song, and for me, is pretty enough. Take care, thanks again.

Hi Angela. This is one of my favorite songs by her. Thanks for mentioning how good the band is as well. Stuart Matthewman, the sax player, deserves much credit. He wrote many of Sade’s songs. I believe he may have been band leader also. Sade’s awesome and unique voice combined with that band produced so many good songs! If you want another great live Sade piece, check out “Nothing Can Come Between Us” from San Diego. Actually, the whole concert is on KZbin. Every song is killer. The stage lighting gives a very cool visual too. Sorry for being so long winded. I really like Sade. Thank you for your reaction! More people should hear her.

I like the enthusiasm! The band rocks. As a music AND a sports person, yes you did sound like an announcer giving a playback. you are painting a vivid picture but also limited to the amount of energy you can relay to just words, and that is hard to do in the moment and keep up with what's going on. Great reaction- thank uou

Hi Angela, I just recently came across your channel 👍. Love watching your facial expressions when you are listening to older songs I know and love. I have a few possible additions for your list, that you may or may not have heard of, but that you may like, if they have not been mentioned already. They are, in no particular order: Judy Tzuke, Stay with me till dawn (1979). Dave Stewart (1 half of the Eurythmics) and Candy Dolphur, Lily was here (Instrumental 1989). Annie Lennox (the other half of the Eurythmics) doing a version of Procol Harum's, Whiter Shade of Pale (1995). Fleetwood Mac, albatross (Instrumental 1968). John Farnham, You're the voice (1986). George Michael, careless whisper (1984). 1927, if I could, and also, Compulsory hero, (both from 1988) The Cars , Drive (1984). Keep up the good work.
