Regarding the drill thing, I was helping my uncle clean out a shed on his farm, which used to belong to my great grandfather, and we found a corded drill from the 1960s or so that had clearly been used to mix paint cans and had just been sitting in the dirt for decades. My uncle didn't care if I took it, so I spent an afternoon taking it apart, cleaning, polishing, and putting new grease in it, and in the end it actually worked. That drill was my first power tool, and the satisfaction from all that was immense. This thing is bulletproof, and though it's not as advanced as modern tools, it's come in very handy and is very close to me. So yeah, 10/10 could recommend restoring old tools
@seleckt66003 жыл бұрын
You would be surprised just how much better the tools from 60-70 years ago are compared to a brand new tool today. Planned obsolescence wasn't a widespread issue then, and every tool was genuinely made to be the best tool it could be to beat their competition. Not the case anymore, now it's far more profitable to sell you a shitty tool so you have to buy a new one a year down the line. Hang onto that drill, it will probably never be surpassed in quality.

I’ve worked in a lot of factories and the older the machine, the less likely you gotta spend the day repairing it every month.
@GoodGamer30002 жыл бұрын
@@seleckt6600, I don't think it's so much planned obsolescence, more that products need to be cheaper and easier to produce to sell to the masses. Old appliances, machines, tools, etc. are typically seen as built better because the only ones available were expensive and high quality. If you looked for well built, commercial/industrial grade modern equivalents, they would probably cost about the same as they did back in the day and be just as good.
@130rne2 жыл бұрын
@@GoodGamer3000 I can see that point. Profit margins are razor thin these days. Back then they didn't worry about how much metal to use so they overbuilt the tools. Now they worry about every extra gram. I've seen this a lot even in high end stuff. There will be one little piece of plastic that breaks. All the complaints are for a single issue. You fix that one little flaw and the rest of the product is fine. Look at steel in fridges, drill cases etc. It's always thicker in products from 2 decades ago.

Only then are you able to get in the driver seat with a professional instructor (you can only drive driver's Ed cars with the instructor in the passenger seat before getting a license) in which you need to have at least 30 hours seat time and you need to take a 10 hour first aid course and test. If you did all that you can access the test which requires 30-45 minutes of driving with less than 10 minor infractions (none can be repeated more than once, some can only be done once also while parking you can only do 1 correction) and no major ones. Some places have really strict gun laws, they also have much higher crime rates. The us is an interesting place And you said it's more difficult (or the perception of difficulty) to get a license then a gun- you can't buy a gun without a license (state issued id). It's a tool. Honestly I really love the way how you do talk especially when you get all spiritual or religious like it's really funny and I know that you're just playing around and a butt love it other people believe you too I mean one of the main reasons why I subscribe to begin with was because the way that you were talking not only it's kind of calming it's incredibly funny

James Joyce's Ulysses is reknown to be hard but it's extremely funny, it could save people from depression. I suggest the audiobook on youtube read by a real Irish man.

Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky are pretty similar. I live in Cininnati, everyone here knows or has family on the other side of the river. Most of us have a bit of a southern drawl to our accent that you dont hear up north.

I don’t think painkillers can kill you unless you take A LOT. It's why one of the best starts, imo, is when you get dropped at one of the clinics; you can huddle for a few days and go from level 1 -> 5 Fitness just eating snacks and taking painkillers to workout/sleep.

This game needs guarded npc trade settlements and the ability to recruit followers that do work at settlement for you like growing or the ability to send them out to scavange

Oh my God hearing you talk about running servers gave me flashbacks to running clans/guilds. The worst is a tie between a runescape 3 clan, and a World of Warcraft guild. I'll share a very tldr of the wow guild I founded and ran. It was one of those dreaded elite raiding/pvp guilds though we did try to keep it laid back and more casual than our competition. Now over multiple guilds, sister guilds, training guilds etc, we had over 800 unique players, not characters, players, that had signed up for the forums, in game no idea. We were huge. Infact I am sure alot if the smaller sister guilds had no idea what the head guild was called or who tf I even was. Anyway, for the main 2 guilds we had some core rules before you could join, no drama, 18+ proffered unless your vetted by a few upper ranked members, and you would likely be kicked to a sister guild if teen angst started up or the likes. Average age in the main guild was easily 30s to 40s likely higher. Most held very good jobs or were military. Infact I was one of the youngest. Now you'd think having most the guild 30+ drama, petty fights and hurt feelings wouldn't be an issue right? Right??? Nope, every...damn....day before going to work, check vent, forums, and ingame mail....dozens to hundreds of damned messages of "he called me a name" look further down in mail, said person called them that name because they were called a name. It was like toddlers, or herding cats. Honestly I'd be HAPPY if the complaints were actually serious because it didn't feel like a waste of my time. It almost felt like running that guild was a second full time job, and I swear I spent more hours on it than my actual full time job or even doing fun things like not dealing with bs.

buying a firearm legally is very regulated and you have to pass a back ground check. if you have questions on guns and such sir. I'm a vet and have been a firearms instructor for many years. least i could do for all of the videos.
@josephmatthews76983 жыл бұрын
Unless you buy at a gun show or from a private seller. At least in my state and our civic center is essentially a gun store at this point hosting 2 gun shows a month. Plus making sure the buyer isn't a felon isn't what I would call "Very regulated" more like, 'Absolute Bare Minimum.'
@CazadorSlayer3 жыл бұрын
@@manitoba-op4jx Can confirm, as an NC resident long-guns have absolutely no requirements. Can just walk into Walmart and walk out with a full-length hunting rifle or shotgun. Pistols only require a 5 dollar permit, which you will get unless you are a felon or something.

Delayed onset muscle soreness can be Rhabdo (Rhabdomyolysis) . Super painful and dangerous. Rhabdo is the breakdown of damaged muscle which results in the release of muscle cell contents into the blood. Edit: Syntax.
