I just found a neat little bit of dialogue I had never previously encountered in all my 600 hours across 4.5 or 5.5 playthroughs. If you go to Marion Forks before the church is destroyed and walk up to the doors, Deacon will say "I remember you..." and pull out his picture of Sarah and look at it for a few seconds. I've never seen another instance of this action (aside from in a few actual cutscenes,) in the entire game. Just a wholesome little moment.

Also there's a lot of queen references -Deacon st. John is literally referencing John deacon queen's bass player - there's a skill called under pressure - trophies names references the song don't stop me now : don't stop me now, I'm out of control, there's no stopping me and Mr fahrenheit Rdr refrence ??? bit of a stretch boozers name is William gray but deacon calls him bill sometimes. Bill Williamson is a rdr character

How is it more of a TWD reference? Having a John Marsdon character with a cowboy hat in a part of the game that is more like Western movie landscape, feels like a strong RDR.reference. But it is also a nod to the "a prick named rick" scene in TWD. Studio Bend were heavily inspired by RDR and TWD.

Am I the only PS4 player who owns Days Gone that thinks it’s just an “okay” game. It’s generic af. If you think otherwise, I wanna know what kind of games you are playing because I’m sure that you have shit taste in games. Or maybe you’re just a PS fanboy that can’t accept the fact that this game is not as good as the other exclusives. Days Gone is not worth the full price for sure. 30-35$ seems like the sweet spot for me. Definitely a wait for sale for everyone who doesn’t own Days Gone yet.

So it's a mediocre game but you compare it to the other exclusives, all of which are legendary and top games of all time? Theres no game ever in its class/genre as good as God of War 4. TLOU is the quintessential "zombie" / post-apocalyptic game and Spiderman is usually hailed as the greatest superhero game to ever exist. And while HZD is fantastic I actually think Days Gone is at the very least equal in quality to it if not better. If you call a game decent or okay but compare it to the Sony Exclusives which have all gone down as GOAT status in their own right it sort of fucks up your statement. Why not compare it to an actual mediocre game and see what is better? It's better than Dying Light, better than World War Z, better than the Dead Rising series, better than the Dead Island series, and better than the State of Decay series. It's better than Rage 2 and Mad Max, it's better than Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. You got any suggestions?
