As someone who has taken chances and moved all over the country as an adult, I have learned that I'd rather take the chance with someplace new than to always wonder "what if ". Even if something ends up not being what you thought it would be, at least you'd know. I'm from a very small town (in Michigan) and as a kid I'd see so many people who never ventured out of that area - i had such a fear of that, of stagnating. I haven't loved every single place I've lived, but that's the beauty of life - you can always move if you don't end up liking it. In my experience, it really does take a couple of years to really KNOW if a place is where you want to be. And of course, quite often as you age your wants/needs/considerations may change. I don't regret any of my moves, as they've all led me to what my life has been. Now that I'm older, i do see the value of developing really deep roots that come from planting yourself in a place for a long, long time (or never leaving where you're from) - i don't have that. But I'm still glad that I'm not sitting in that small town i was raised in (lovely as it is) wondering "what if". You're doing great! Keep exploring, keep questioning, and don't be apologetic for who you are and what you want. 😊

I've lived in the south and hated it, also live in New England and hated it too. Fourtunately, I like where I am now, but it doesn't have the energy, hustle and bustle like my hometown. And that's what I've struggled to adapt to.

​@@plugknight5725 I've discovered that once you leave someplace and then go back, it's never the same as the first time. Not necessarily better or worse,but different. Of course, perspectives change as you live life, too. I think most of us tend to remember the nice things about where we've lived, and the things that we didn't find so great tend to fade in the background (over time). There's pros and cons associated with living anywhere. What is valuable and desirable to me now (age 60) is vastly different than what it was in my 20s.

I've been feeling stuck for at least a year now, and I do feel depression creeping into my space. Everything I can do today, i put it off for tomorrow, and tomorrow never comes simply because I'm stuck in bed every chance I have and constantly filled with excuses one after another of why i can't and why i want "get up" and make that move I feel sometimes defeated, not loved, not wanted, and useless, which I feel is the enemies the devil using his tricks and treats to destroy the mind mentally to wear you down playing warfair catching your mine off guard to defend ones self from murder of your mind 😢think 🤔 😉 about it we are the only ones that can destroy ourselves know one else can There are some days i feel blessed 🙌 and favored ✨️ 🙌 and some days i feel unwanted and unworthy and unwanted , useless 😢 💔 😢 😢 😭 and unwanted pity , the days , weeks , months, and years will carry on with me are without me so i decided to break the chains ⛓️ today and move on praying that god grant me whatever that's missing are whatever I'm trying to find "re - writing" ✍️ my map leading away from self destruction into a life of reasons filled with God's blessings I trust myself to believe it recognize it and receives it...amen

I love the cinematic element to this vlog. I feel like I am viewing the city through my own lens. Also, I was never a person to go places alone until I went to therapy. (I too am an introvert). Then I became comfortable going to the movies and out to eat solo. I realized I wanted to go places and my friends weren’t always available nor do they enjoy some of the things I enjoy. I'm an introvert as well. When I lived in Dallas, there was so much to do. Living there helped me come out of my shell. I prefer going out alone. But, I never feel alone because someone always wants to strike up a convo. I've met some cool people this way. It takes a lot of confidence to go initially, but once you start going out solo, I promise it gets easier.

So my trick for a bath is to shower first especially scrubbing off my feet because I don’t want to bring any of those outside germs walk around my feet anything into the tub so I shower first then I get in the tub and soak. This works better because when you get outthat euphoria from the tub you get to lay down with. That all that relaxation you get to have because I swear the shower kind of rinses some of that away.

Welcome to Dallas!!! Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith. I'm a Pittsburgh native, and I moved to Dallas 7 years ago because of a career promotion. It was just me and my husband (then boyfriend). Trust me when I say that you will find your way (I suggest continuing to use the GPS at least for traffic purposes, as it will help you avoid accidents on 35. 635, 75, etc...). You'll also find your people. As you get out and about, God will place them in your pathway. Continue to trust in Him and the process. Off topic, 444 is significant to me too, and has been for a VERY long time!!! Lol! Take care and God bless you!

It was scary but I relied on God the entire time and my being cautious side and still doing it. Just stay safe and be very aware of your surroundings and people in general and you’ll be just fine. I am starting over at 39! Getting my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. My own apartment. I truly believe because I have been running from my purpose/ destiny. I am not where am supposed be, but I am where I am supposed to be.. God has a funny way of showing you if you just let go of the wheel. He will take you where you need to be.. Regardless of the timing.. God is faithful and He is in control of time. So I am not worried.. A lot has been going on this year. But I am excited for 2025! 🎉 Congratulations on your new beginnings!

Starting over is scary. I want to as well, but I'm truly frozen and stagnant. Praying for God to guide me and direct me. You should take a friend to the restaurant at Reunion Tower. It spins around as you're eating. Those were Texas Longhorn Cows. Tex-Mex is delicious, but it is not authentic Mexican food, but I love it. Also, the street signage is awful in the DFW. There are 2 names for several freeways; LBJ = 635, STEMMONS FREEWAY = I35, CENTRAL EXPRESSWAY = 75 BELT LINE ROAD will take you all the way around DALLAS. I enjoy your videos. Keep pushing D.
