Not trying to come off old, but my kids are grown and we didn’t have internet etc… we just put the baby in crib and went in next room and they napped lol I think while not as much fun to not have technology, we had it easier cuz we didn’t know about sleep regression etc we were just like “oh guess he’s not napping as well this week.” Don’t overthink it. You’re doing a goooood job!!!!!!

Floor bed!! You can feed him to sleep or he can fall asleep next to you, and you can sneak out without having to do the "transfer." It's amazing! Buy a twin sized one with high rails and a lockable gate. Works as a toddler bed eventually, too! 😊

Have you tried a heating pad n his bed while you’re rocking him to sleep? It helps with the transition from being held to going to bed. Obviously remove the heating pad before putting him down! But sometimes the bed is cool and you are warm so it wakes him up when you transfer him.

My husband apologized that he was losing hair when we started dating (we'd known each other 8 years before we dated - I was married before), but I love the look of bald guys with beards. Always have. Zac looks great! Just get him a couple of nice beanies for this time of year. :) We FINALLY got a Fresh Kitchen in my town, but it's way at the other end. I'm at the very north end of Lakeland, and it's a half hour drive to get to our Fresh Kitchen. You are absolutely right, they are amazing.

It's not really a regression. It's a progression. It occurs during times when their brains are more active, so during periods when they are taking more in of the world, learning more. That extra brain activity affects sleep. It's exhausting, but Decker's just getting smarter. It's really fun with twins lol. I got my 17 yr old an entire case of that chocolate Fairlife for Christmas. He loves it.

The halo sleep sack is nice bc you can “swaddle” them with their arms out, this gives them a slight sense of compression but is still safe for rolling!

Decker is going through a stage and this too will pass. Do you think Decker is hungry? You might think about putting rice cereal in his bottle. My bubba was the same loved her swaddle 🥺. At 4 months it was a rough few days/weeks? but what helped us was getting a sleep sack with long sleeves and mitts that fold over. We used the ergopouch sleep sack ( We are in Aus). When it started to warm up we would put her in a Normal sleep sack but would have a long sleeve sleep suit under with mitts folded over. At 11 months (in our summer) she was happy to have her hands uncovered and short sleeves under 🎉. Long process but now she sleeps great! 😂😅

I highly recommend the “Pampered sleep app” it helped me so much with navigating sleep! It isn’t necessarily a cry it out method! It will set timers for you to keep going into their room and checking! Also teaches them the self soothe method without your mama heart ripping out! Haha! 100% recommend moving baby to his crib when ready! Sound machine! Also we use gunamuna sleep sacks! They have transition sleep sacks also different thickness sacks depending on the temp you keep their room! Ahh I hope this helps! Each baby is different and yall are doing great!!

For my daughter’s transition out of the swaddle, we used the Halo sleep sack swaddle and still velcroed her mid section so she felt nice and tight but her arms were out. And we started this with daytime naps and worked our way to nighttime sleep once she got used to it. And eventually we just felt we could stop using it. I think the access to her arms was the hardest part. 😭

There might be some people who disagree with this, but you could put one of yalls t-shirts that you all have worn and put it over the mattress like a sheet and see if thats helps. I've heard it works and also i used to just stick my hand with both my kids right beside them so they would be comforted that way. Always helped.

Hey just a recommendation about the Decker footage. Please back it up in several places. Memory cards can get lost or corrupted! Get a couple external hard drives to upload, as well as a cloud and computers. Yes still fun to look thru the camera itself but backup is definitely a must!! Loosing images is the worst!!

That is exactly my son's drink Stoke iced coffee the dark roast and our favorite fairlife choc. milk. Tastes like a fudgecicle. Silk Almond choc milk is really good as well if you don't have nut allergies. Fairlife products are so wonderful Zac is so right teaching the baby to self-sooth will help him greatly. Training an infant to not train the parents is the goal. lol Seriously though self soothing will help him not just for now but for his entire life. Baby will be more relaxed and so will you. Even if it's just for half an hour. I learned this from my mom and sister. They started from one month as did I. My babies slept at three months the full night. My dad would tell me during the day let them cry it out it helps their lungs get strong and teaches babies so many things as well

My son was a big baby too, and the breast milk doesn't stay in their stomach very long the older and bigger they get. I would put rice cereal in my son's nighttime bottle. Start with 1/2 tsp and go up to 1 tsp. If he can't suck it out make the hole a tiny bit bigger but not too big. The milk stays in their tummy much longer and they sleep longer giving you more sleep too. It works great. I did this with both my kids as did my mom and grandma. Good Luck.

There's no reason for a camera tbh,if you want some kind of monitor, get the audio only monitor,they work wonderfully and have no internet connection. But honestly, coming from a mom of 3, it's not the biggest essential. Also I understand nursing at night,i had to pump or nurse but make sure someone gives him a bottle so you can take a nap or hand the baby off and go back to sleep in the morning when possible,it's a huge help and you'll feel more energized! You're doing amazing!❤

The transition out of the swaddle is rough. I have a 5 year old and a 6 month old and it was rough for both of them. Don’t give up and keep trying. We had to do it consistently for a week and it finally got better. But the nights were awful.

Zac looks great much better than the comb over. Men with dark coloring and beards look great with a shaved head and definitely a well groomed beard
