I think how you’re feeling is totally understandable. Especially when you think that you said you moved the NY to find a job etc, so you obviously had dreams about what you wanted to achieve by the move. But obviously things have happened that have meant that those things didn’t happen the way you expected. I know, for me personally, I had lots of things I wanted to do and make happen this year and instead my year is ending with me having to look for a new job and the uncertainty or what I had wanted for this year has definitely dragged my mindset down a whole lot. Just focus on yourself, enjoy your time back in Florida and try getting out of your head for a while. Even if you have to post less for a while until you start feeling it again, then I think you should. Those of us who have followed you will still be here to support you and when you feel better then you’ll what you’re doing will feel better. Although I do still love watching your videos. Wow- leaving already? I live in Florida now, but I am originally from NYC. I miss NY every day. Sorry to hear that you are leaving it so soon. Especially you, you have this terrific luxurious set- up that most people do not have. Florida is NIL on the culture scale. I feel that there is so much to do in the city. The beautiful parks, the walks, the ferries..... just take the ferry for free, you have a boat ride and tour and it does not cost a cent.

I loved Hill House and Bly Manor for different reasons, but both stories are very sad, and I think you need to be able to have your expectations adjust as you watch the show in order to really feel for the characters and their loss. At the end of the day yes it's about ghosts but what are ghosts? Lost loved ones, so it isn't meant to really just be 'scary' it's supposed to make you feel. The wedding episode of Hill House had me bawling my eyes out, whereas Bly Manor I think I cried in almost every episode, and by the finale I was a complete wreck. The way that she says "It's not a ghost story, it's a love story." is just so so accurate to what the show truly is.

Hi Renee, I love your videos. I did notice the energy was different around the time you went to Florida for your Dad’s funeral. It was a very subtle difference but I can pick up on subtle differences quickly because I am more introverted and I watch people’s body language, what they say, how they say it. Maybe it is because I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work even though that is not the career that I ultimately chose. I hope you are taking time for yourself and do the things that make you happy and rejuvenated. Don’t feel guilty for taking care of yourself because if you don’t take care of yourself then it is harder to deal with the outside world around you. Take care. Haunting of Bly manor is based on the novel Turn of the Screw and I agree it lacked overall and didn’t compare to the first series Haunting of Hill House. A much better version of this book is a movie released this year called The Turning....sooo good so give that a try.
