Love Days of our Life's.....I go all the way back to its inception in the mid 1960's when I was a young mother now I'm 81. God Bless all of you amazing actors and Drake RIP 😭

I met Drake in Fort Wayne & my prayer was always to meet the two of you together. I waited too long😢. I now have to make it a point to meet you, Deidre. I loved Jarlena & I am heartbroken by this sad, sad news. You are in my prayers. It shows how much he loved his job & you by him coming to work even in his last moments. Love you, Deidre. Deidre Hall AKA Marlena You have me in tears 😥 I feel so very honoured that I got to meet you (Deidre & Drake both ) I know I don't know you or Drake personally but from the meeting and even throw a TV screen you can tell you are wonderful down to earth lovely people !!! Both Of yours (Deidra & Drake ) Acting is High Quietly I enjoy the show and I appreciate all the long hours and hard work that goes into an episode !!! Learning about Drake Hogestyn's passing was devastating, a true legend he was. I am from South Africa, I was fortunate to meet him and shook his hand after watching him for years on TV. They were touring South Africa in 2012 along with other Days cast members, that was when I saw him and shook his hand at Canal Walk in Cape Town, in the year 2012.

Drake will be missed he was an amazing man and such an iconic part of Days. I can’t believe he’s gone and will not be present in Salem with the beautiful Marlena, they were the best couple in soap history. Deidre, you are such a beautiful soul I know how much you loved and adored Drake I can’t imagine how hard it is for you and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I’ve been a fan of the both of you the day Drake came to Salem, I was in high school and hoped and prayed they would put you two together. Drake will be missed terribly but he lives on in our hearts as well as in Salem. John and Marlena forever, with love ❤️.

I loved when Drake and Wayne were on screen together (as John Black and Roman Brady, not that dumb Alex North storyline) the love/hate chemistry between the two (because of the love triangle) always had me engaged

It was pure magic between Drake Hogestyn and Deidre Hall . Such special times . Just as magical and special was the couple he formed on screen with Genie Francis who played his girlfriend and for a while his fiancée Diana Colville . Deidre Hall and Genie Francis two legends from daytime whose characters fell in love with that very same man and two actresses who were both very fond of Drake and miss him dearly . Such a shame we didn't get Deidre Hall and Genie Francis working together in a storyline on Days involving Drake . How extraordinary this could have been ....

Deidre and Drake ... I love you both 💓 ! I am heartbroken that Drake is gone !!!!! I have watched DOOL since I was 16, I am now 63.. when John came on DOOL I fell in love, truly he was the dream man I was looking for but could never find 😍. But from all reports he truly WAS the perfect man. Inside & out !!! My heart breaks for his Family & all his DOOL family as well. This Cancer diagnosis was hard to accept. You have me in tears Deidre, but that was a lovely tribute. Drake will be missed terribly but he lives on in our hearts as well as in Salem. John and Marlena forever, with love, always 💔

Oh my gosh, heartbreaking😭💔. I literally grew up watching this show. This is where I learned about kissing, love, romance and more. I remember my mom threatening to beat us if we didn't close our eyes when there was a kissing scene but of course, there were slip ups😂. Another bittersweet reminder that we're getting older..

I am just today heating of Drakes passing. One of the saddest tv moments for me was when Isabella died in John Blacks arms. I bawled and bawled.

It just makes me sad for Drake that the cast doesn’t mention him. They don’t talk about him and I just can’t imagine because in my heart I think he sees that. My grandfather passed away 24 years ago and my grandmother passed away 12 years ago and they are part of our every day conversation. We mention them every day, little stories about them or what they’ve done or what they said. If we smell something that reminds us of them we mention them, if we go somewhere that we know they would have loved we say oh they would have loved it here because they mattered to us. I can only imagine the pain that the cast is going through but to not mention him at all, It’s heartbreaking to me even though I’ve never met this man or this cast. To not mention somebody who’s passed , it’s almost like they didn’t even matter, like they didn’t exist.😢

They have lost 5 actors in a two year period. John Aniston, Tyler Christopher, Arlene Sorkin, Bill Hayes, and Drake Hogestyn… a lot to take in.

Wow! He played the part of John Black the same amount of years I've lived. Sadly he has also passed away the same time my father passed away. I've known them for years. Thank you Mr Drake. RIP🙏🏾

My heart goes out to Deidra Hall, I know she still having a hard time. we all are we all miss John is not the same. It’s just so hard I know, but even harder when I catch up on Peacock with the whole episodes. I stopped on the on their sixth anniversary episode. I’ve binge watched the hell out of it.

My favorite couple of all the soaps. And I have watched them all, at one time or another over 40 years. But I quit watching it as it was getting unbelievable and ridiculous. Cant believe I wasted 30 years of my life watching soap operas. Im surprised my kids turned out as Super as they are. They never watched them, on purpose that is. 😄😄. Its been about 30 years since I quit watching them. Dont miss them at all.

But there is another couple their equal. If you watch it. Jamie and Claire on " The Outlander". on Starz Super show. But watch it from the beginning. I started on the 6th season.. I wanted to watch it from the beginning so I bought the whole series. Never regretted it. Super!!
