Here's a tip. To do a faded break from green to yellow, but keep it in a straight line, is to use a post-it. The adhesive side of the post-it would be on the front of the vehicle. The unattached side would be over the door where the color break is. The amount of distance between the post it and the body determines how fuzzy the break line is.

How do you get your airbrush to flow so cleanly and precisely?
@RBScaleModels2 жыл бұрын
Hey Megatron, Use a 0.5 tip needle for maximising the flow and I used a retarder in the thinner to slow the drying process down. I strip down the airbrush after each colour and give it a good clean aswell.

Hi, nice tutorial! For the decal "LUMINA" not provided by the Kit, how did you paint it or where did you find the decal please? I'd like to fond out a solution for my kit. Thanks by advance for your answer.
@RBScaleModels Жыл бұрын
Thanks Wahid, 😊 I hand painted the lumina with a ultra fine brush but here is also a decal kit sold here which includes the lumina decal. This includes more than the standard sheet 😀 www.mikesdecals.com/city-chevy-days-thunder-powerslide-194-p-3919.html

What mixtures and psi r u running I've messed this body up 3 or 4 times now and can't get it right imngetting very discouraged any help would be appreciated
@RBScaleModels Жыл бұрын
I have set the compressor to 30 psi and have the air on the airbrush 3/4 the way open. When I did the blend I turned the pressure on the airbrush down and took the fan tip of the end of the gun. Makes the detail alot finer and easy to control.
@dustinbuckley30 Жыл бұрын

Nice build I'm working on the mello yello car now gonna do hardees car and city Chevrolet next I have a question what primer did u use on this and what color green do u suggest I use for the mellow yellow on the bottom of the car
@RBScaleModels Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate 😊 nice work can't wait to see them. I used a white surfacer primer to make the yellow and green stand out more and cover better. I used Tamiya X-15 light green for this car, I would probably use the same for the mello yello and just add a bit of black to darken it up.
