Today alone I've watched about ten Dayseeker reaction videos and your video is the best one in my opinion. I have always been into this type of music since high school but I sort stop listing to this genre around 2012 for some reason and Dayseeker brought me back Lol Great review!

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! There was a point in time where I stopped listening to this style of music as well. But I think as I grew older I really started to appreciate the deep emotion and complexity that you usually find with this style of music. I absolutely love it.

Rory is THE quintessential metalcore vocalist right now. Dayseeker is my absolute favorite at the moment, and they likely will be for a while. If you're interested, Rory has a separate solo project called Hurtwave that is more of a synth-heavy sad-boy expansion into his personal feelings, and it's absolutely worth a listen if you're in the mood for more chill sadboi energies. Great reaction, keep up the good work!!

You've probably seen them, but they've got a bunch of CaliberTV-filmed live videos from their set in Sacramento on the Pressure Tour, and I was at that show. I've seen Jonny Craig and Sam Carter live, and I've gotta say, I've never been as blown away as I was when Rory belted those notes live. He's without a doubt the most powerful vocalist I've ever seen live. They've been my favorite band ever since that show. I hope you get the chance to see them soon. Edit: Also, yeah, this song is about him losing his dad. Rory kind of chronicled his dad's battle with disease through the songs A Cancer Uncontained, Drunk, and Neon Grave. Hurtwave also has a whole EP dedicated to him. Pretty heavy stuff.

@@AustinCollinslive I've seen them 3 times, and they absolutely kill it every time. I've been paying attention since they dropped "What It Means to Be Defeated" in like 2013, but I was never a die-hard fan till Sleeptalk. When I saw them in Sacramento, they played "Drunk" first, and I remember hearing the first note he belted and just being like , "Jesus CHRIST" and looking around to see if everyone else's jaw had dropped. Also, Rory's just a good guy. He waited around and talked to every single fan, even though security was telling everyone to get out.

Found my way back to this video... Rewatching it. The last concert I went to was The Home Team, back in like March. I was representing in my Dayseeker shirt. I was in a bar across the street from the venue. There was a group of like 5 people in the bar talking about Rory, going on and on about how incredible he is. I had to go up and point out my shirt lol. Have you seen them yet?? I've got tickets to see them In September.
