Ronnie was so nice in this clip... at the end his comments on watching his own work is very good. The two actors from Brookside took me back. I can't remember who they played, but used to watch brookie years ago. Crossroadsfanclub, thank you for the video!

How Gorgeous Ronnie Allen was. I remember having a crush on him as a youngster. Both him and his wife Sue Lloyd made a lovely couple. Thanks for posting this. :o)

Me too. I had an enormous crush on him. He was my first schoolgirl crush and my only regret is that I never got to miss him. The closest I got to him was visiting the ATV studios in Birmingham and it was probably his day off! I notice he had that awful cough and it reminds me of Sue Lloyds book about her and Ronnie when she was describing how they both had awful coughs during the winter of 1990 and that’s when they had X-rays which discovered Ronnie had lung cancer which could not be cured. So sad. I cried that day.

Doreen Sloane - 'Annabelle Collins' Jim Wiggins - 'Paul Collins' Number 8, Brookside Close - 1982 to 1990. Sadly Doreen died and their characters were 'written out'
